Till then , there is no response from CIC/VO.

First off, Congratulations to snowman and bd1122, I wish you success in the rest of the process as well.

Next,

Looks like the CIO clerk finally pulled on his/her snow boots and stomped all over my fresh snow, in other words- I just got my PER!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
The date of BD encashment is 20th October so I am quite surprised at that. I wonder if it is a typo or something. Anyway, all the best to Rina, queencougar, Shacon and Carl, your PERs are surely just a few hours away.

I wish everyone else waiting for their PERs all the very best. Phew! I'm off to celebrate now. Cheers!

As far as I know applications received upto 12th Sep were returned for lack of birth certificate. I read this somewhere in the forum itself. VO then stated that school leaving certificate can be used for the same. I am a Sep 23rd applicant too and didnt have my birth certificate at the time of application. After knowing that my BD was encashed, I was very much relieved as that meant my file was considered complete. Lets hope for the best.

Have you submitted any explanations with the document submitted as proof of birth. I have sent my 10th class certificate as POB without any explanations. I am a Dec 2010 applicant. No News of BD encashment yet.. please reply

Queencougar, I know how anxiously you are waiting to hear from the CIO but believe me, just as anxious as you are now, you are going to be twice as overwhelmed and ecstatic when you get it (today most likely). I sincerely hope and pray that you, Rina, Shacon and Carl get the good news today. In fact, I'm counting on seeing your celebrations this evening.

All the best to the rest of the September applicants as well. I hope everyone's PERs come flying out in swarms. Now that the holidays are over perhaps the CIO will work faster to clear up the backlog.
