Hmm, I didn't imagine the actual visa officers being responsible for sending the PERs. My idea of how it works is - the visa officers determine whether or not the final eligibility review is passed, and then the application gets put on a pile for the admin clerks to send the actual PER. So if anything I think the admin clerk in charge of 7th September PERs is on vacation!

Anyway, there's still some business hours today when CIO is open, so there's still hope! But otherwise hopefully all the September 7th applicants should get their PERs next Tuesday when everyone is back to work.

Yes, this does seem odd and is very upsetting for us who are waiting for the news.
I was so hoping to get some good news before OH goes back to Canada (early hours of tomorrow, 1st Jan) to start the New Year with a positive. Now it looks more likely that I will have to see him off without knowing.
I am quite sad about this, but I will try to be as positive as wenstumped and just keep the faith.

Hi - I think the thing to do is remain positive. The fact you are on the "edge" of receiving PER is obviously frustrating, but if you do not receive PER later on tonight then you will almost certainly receive it next week, so the waiting will not be much longer!

Anyway, let's not lose hope for this week, CIC is still open 31st Dec there is still time yet for more PERs in 2010!

Well we won't know for sure until the first user reports a communication post-PER. However, we THINK that visa office will send an AOR once they have received the paper file AND started processing the application - i.e. begun background and security checks.

I hope you will get your PER's as soon as possible, and preferably Today, to add it to your New Year gifts.

Stay positive and hopeful.

It is obvious that CIO Has been short-of-staff for the past two days, and mostly in a holiday mood. They have sparsely sent out PER's, and haven't even updated their weekly figures. And apparently the agent assigned to Sep 7th has been off duty for the past two days.The delay shouldn't be a cause of concern for you. I hope and truly pray he/she will come back to work today. Your joy will fill our hearts with tremendous happiness .
