i need to know if cio will work tuesday or no ,please any member answer me

Hi Midoo,

Unfortunately CIO working hours after Christmas don't seem to be published anywhere so all we can really do is guess.

In my opinion they will be open today and Thursday and Friday (they may close early on Friday), but like so many businesses they will have some staff taking some of their annual holiday over the Christmas period, so they will likely be on a reduced staff.

Anyway I think (and hope) that we will see some PERs this week, but it may only be a handful. Then next week hopefully things will speed up again.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you :)
Wayne.

Hi, I emailed them last dec 22 and upto now I have no answer. Thats why Ive been saying, CIO employees are on holiday mood. I dont think they will release PER this week.

Anyway, Happy New Year to everyone.

Not picking you out especially, carl128 but you are just the latest in a long line of people and I think this needs saying once and for all;
PLEASE STOP E-MAILING CIO to ask for status updates!!!
Unless you have a serious query, such as Katy whose courier reported her package lost and needed to know if CIO had it, then just please leave them alone to get on with the job of processing the apps they have received.
Most of the applicants on here e-mailing CIO haven't waited anywhere near the amount of time that would be expected from the spreadsheet information and so all they get is the stock e-mail answer anyway.
E-mail is far too easy for people to just fire off every five minutes and I for one would rather people showed some patience and waited the time expected plus a bit before they stared bombarding CIO with e-mails.
I bet they get totally fed up with this and perhaps that is why they started telling people 33 weeks - to try to stop impatient applicants pestering them after only a few weeks. It does have an impact on their workload and also the information they release to queries.
Unless you have a serious question relating to your app AND I DON'T MEAN JUST TO GET YOUR FILE NUMBER OR ASK WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH YOUR APP, then leave them alone and wait.
When your app has been accepted, you will get your PER and a file number sent to you.
Simple as that.
Good Luck to everyone for the New Year.

Welcome dear Milan

Thanks for the information ...... Please give us the remaining details as per the spreadsheet. We are maintaining 2 different spreadsheets - One for International applicants (including Indian applicants) and one exclusively for applicants from India (N/Delhi VO). Please see both the trackers ......

I quite agree!

I think really the only reasons to contact CIO are:

1) If, like Katy, you have had serious delivery problems with your application and need to try to ascertain if it got there
2) If, like Zint, Midoo, made711 etc, you haven't received PER and the received dates of those people getting them are getting further and further ahead. Then there is genuine cause for concern.

But emailing CIO when those around you still haven't received PER either is wasting both your time and CIO's time. All they will say, if they do get back to you, is "your application is still under review" etc.

To Yawar,

I just tried to reply to your PM but it said your inbox was full, so I will post my reply here:

Hi - sorry for the delay in replying, I've only just got round to checking my PMs after Christmas.

As far as I am aware the cap for NOC 1122 was reached on the 28th October, since one of our forum members said that theirs reached CIO on 29th October and they had it rejected because cap was full, and the letter said it was filled on 28th October.

Applications have been known to take up to 3 months to get returned, unfortunately. So I would recommend contacting CIC asking if your application was returned - although they don't keep details they do keep a list of returned applications so they will be able to tell you.

If this is the case then you have 2 choices:

1) Wait until 1st July 2011, hoping that NOC 1122 is still on the list at that time, and re-apply. Your IELTS test is valid for 2 years now so should just be a case of getting fresh PCC and work references and reapplying

2) Try to get a job offer with an Labour Market Opinion (LMO), then you can work in Canada with a temporary work permit and apply from within Canada under FSW Category 2. You could also try to get an Arranged Employment Opinion (AEO) if you can find an employer willing to wait for you to get resident, and then apply under FSW Category 2 from outside Canada.

Best of luck,
Wayne.

Hi Guys...CIO received my re application on 24/12/2010...Please update the list...Congrats for those who have received their PER and all the best those who are awaiting...Cheers. Happy New Year

Dear Yawar

I agree with Wayne ....... IMHO one has to wait for the July 2011 openings .... and hope that particular NOCs still exists!!!

If I am not wrong, if you get job offer through LMO with a temporary work permit, you have to apply under FSW Category 3. Otherwise if it is AEO .. have to apply under FSW Category 2. Wayne please correct me if I am wrong... :)

Cheers, Anil

Yes, I think you are wrong, but only a bit :) Both LMO/TWP route and AEO route are Category 2. LMO/TWP means you get your LMO and work permit and then apply for residency under Category 2 whilst working in Canada. AOE means you get the offer and then apply whilst outside Canada still under Category 2, and then you go to work for the employer once your residency is granted - hence why you have to find an employer willing to wait 12 months or so, which is why AOE are difficult to come by!

Category 3 does not exist any more, at least not as a Federal Skilled Worker category. It used to be for Canadian experience (where you could apply if you'd previously worked in Canada) but they ditched it with the new June 26 2010 rules.

I think there may be some new equivalent category but it's not Federal Skilled Worker.
