Yes Katy, I think by "assessment letter" they mean PER... Hey maybe we should call "PER", "ASS" from now on...lol

Seriously... and the 10-12 weeks makes sense, and tells me it is from an officer in CIO who actually knows something... as opposed to the ones in Ottawa with the 33 week standard line...

I see we do not have applicants info from 3rd-6th September and thats why we see no PERs in the last couple of days. Though 4th and 5th september was a weekend.

Anyway heres wishing all the FORUMERS a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year... :)

Thank you very much for opening this thread and keeping it rolling, guys.

My Noc is 3152. I sent our aplication (me, husband and son) from Hong Kong to Sydney on September 15. 2010 (full package). I put Hong Kong as VO.

My credit card was charged on September 30. I waited for AOR for 10 weeks and, since I didn't get anything from them, I sent them an email on December 16, asking about the status of our application. They replied on December 21 saying "Your submission in under review by our office. You will be contacted in due course". Nothing about file number. I am anxious of course. Any ideas? Please help.

They are sending AORs for Sept 7 right now... you will probably hear something around mid Jan.

Edit: Sorry that was not very clear. They are sending AORs for applications received on Sept. 7 right now. If your application was received by CIO in mid Sept, at the rate they are giving out AORs, you should hear something by mid Jan... sorry, my mind is on holiday mode today...

I was under the impression that there weren't going to be any posts with religious connotations from now on.Isn't christmas a religious occasion?

I got your point ....... This is such a nice occasion to congratulate and know each-other. Don't spoil the mood friend ... 8)
Moreover, as everybody is in a holiday mood, we may not receive PERs for the coming few days ....... otherwise just suggest us - WHAT SHALL WE DO NOW ................ So just chill man....
