Sorry, I did not get the name of the lady who answered me but here's the number that I used 001-613-9444000 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 001-613-9444000 end_of_the_skype_highlighting... just follow the options afterwards once you get connected.....

AThank you dear, this is the same number I kept calling , but never hit the right place. I was told that I had reached OTTAWa and that they had no info of what is going on in CIO Sydney!

1) CIC when phoned will just add 33 weeks onto the date of your application and say that you will hear by then. If you check the spreadsheet you will see that the reality is that people hear from CIC within 100 to 120 days now. So about 3.5 to 4 months from when your application was received.

2) Nobody can access ECAS, and hasn't been able to since around April applicants. Not sure if they are being very slow adding details to it, or have abandoned it altogether for new applications, but until the June applicants start reporting that they can access it, it's unllikely any of the post-June-26 applicants will be able to access it either.

Best wishes,
Wayne.
I do agree with you Wayne. This forum is guidelines for all of us. Before 22nd November we all were very much tensed as we didn't knew how are our applications going to be processed. We were under impression that we will not be receiving any AOR/PER from CIO. But finally on 23rd November PER was received from CIO, which we came to know through our friends in this thread. Today exactly one month is completed since we received first PER on our thread. Through our spread sheet we can say that one will receive PER from 99 days to 140 days if one's application is complete. May be by first week of January we will come to know further action from VO, as our friends who have received PER's in november will get acknowledgement from their VO.

Wayne, could you please write the date for BD encashment to be 14th of Sep! Thanks :)

Ok guys, listen. I really mean this with the greatest of respect, but could I please request that people keep their religious beliefs and opinions to a minimum here? This is a multicultural public forum for discussing obtaining a Canadian permanent residents visa.

Not everyone on here believes the same thing. I personally don't really believe in a god and I don't think this forum is an appropriate place to air your religious views.

I don't wish to upset or offend anyone :) But I've bitten my tongue a few times now on this subject and I just figured it was about time to say something.

Wayne.

True that! May I also add that specific nationality/common language/same visa office discussions may also be discussed either thru personal messages or on their respective chat boards. Lets keep this a common play area.
Respect!

Sigh, not a peep out of CIO as yet. I hope someone gets a PER soon!!!

Dear, may be CIO has kept eyes on you to fall asleep!!! ;)

Hello applicants,

I am sending you deep wishes of a wonderful new year start coming soon :) Hope it all gets fine at the end when each and every one of us lands in canada in 2011

Keep your efforts alive with sharing. You are one of the most successful wonderful discussion boards done either alive or online :)

Hehehe, yeah! Maybe I should take Cam's route and keep away from the forum for a few days to test the 'watched kettle' theory.

Hi all, I have a question. Does any one know if the CIC opens and processes the envelopes that are received after the NOC was closed? I applied under NOC 1122 on 24th Oct and the NOC capped on 3rd Nov. I have still not heard from them so do you think this delay is because they open the envelopes and enter the details for statistics purpose or somnething before returning the applications? Or are the applications returned right away (without opening the envelope) once the NOC is closed? Can any one please throw some light p? I am really worried and I am trying to work out the reason for their silence.

Please help!

Wendy, don't take it seriously. ;) A nap is enough ;) A few days is too long. I will miss you so much buddy! Afterall, if you keep away for a couple of days who is gonna let us know when to celebrate your PER? It's your turn dear!

Canada100. I understood they would return the unopened applications once the Cap was reached. I think that was one reason they request the NOC or NOCs to be identified on the envelope. Fingers crossed yours reach in time and you are in the queue. Good Luck!!

Hey canada100

Though officially CIO declared about "1122 cap limit reached" on 3rd Nov, but it actually reached on 29/30th Oct itself. It's very difficult to say about the status ....... the only way is the payment status. In case if it is CC payment .... it should not take more than a week for the CC to be charged. And if it is not then, .... I am sorry it might have been returned. And if it is BD payment, contact your banker and find the status.......
If the CAP limit is reached, the application will not be opened at all and will be returned ...... I wish you all the Good Luck.

Cheers, Anil

Someone whose application was received on 29th October (harsha I think) had it returned and CIC said that the cap limit was reached on 28th October.

So any application received 28th October or before should have made it into the cap, and any application received 29th October or later will not have made it into the cap.
