Thanks Wayne...I will do as you say...do you know once CC charged whats the next step?

Cheers

Manny

Once your credit card is charge your application will be forwarded to the relevant department for a complete eligibility review, where they will check through all your forms and documentation and ensure you have adequate work experience and education etc. Then you will receive an email confirming if you have passed the final eligibility review and that your application is being forwarded to visa office for further processing (security and background checks, and then medical requests).

Currently the waiting time from application being received a CIO and email with confirmation of eligibility review is about 4 months. So if you mail your application again now you might expect to hear something around April 2011.

Best of luck,
Wayne.

How can you say you are the only 9jas on this forum?

Just because we don't display the 9ja flag does not mean we are not 9jas.

Anyway, now you know.

More people rep Naija than you know.Good to see you guys here.

Hi cam,

You mentioned that returned docs wil be returned within two months, is this accurate? because I am anxious about my
papers , I also have some mistakes in my application and until now I can't trace the status of the check enclosed,
I called the Nova Scotia Bank and exchanged e-mails with them but they can't give me any information if the check
was deposited. It's been more than two months and I don't know if they accepted it for evaluation, I received an e-mail after few inquiries
from Bufallo..and this is their reply:Permanent resident applications are created in our database and =cknowledgement of receipt letters are sent to the applicant within 30 =eeks of receipt. Any application submitted without the required =ocuments and information will be returned to the applicant.I'm from Phils., will the two months apply in my case or it will take more than two months to received a return envelope?
thanks .

Hi Viron:

I have heard that it has taken anywhere from 10 days to 3 months to get an application back. The closer you are to Canada, the shorter the time. If Buffalo is your VO, you are either in Canada or US, and the return should not take long. I don't understand why you contacted Buffalo, they would have no idea about your application, contact CIO by phone or email to find out about your status.

Best,
Cam

Good job my friend
Keep trying, today here was -23 c again

Well Mari, I wasn't going to say anything, but I will have you know that yesterday I bought a snow shovel and even though there is no snow where we live, I conducted a dry run in front of our garage... with gloves and everything :) Seriously though, did you know over a hundred people died in the US last week in the snow storm while shoveling snow :o incredible...

Hi Indira,

Thanks mate for your quick response, I am sending my application tommorrow...my profession quota is on 174 applicants...lol.

Anyways what are the steps to follow...and hows ur appication comming to ?

Manny

well, the steps are as Wayne outlined..

1. The completeness check
2. Payment en cashment
3. Eligibility check
4. Transfer to VO
5. Background check
6. Medicals & Security check
7. Visa :):):)

We all believe this whole process would be complete in a year :) specially for faster VOs like ND ;)

Our application had reached on Oct 15th and we are expecting the PER(4th step) during Jan 2011.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

I believe post-June-26 will have a shorter time of it at visa office than their pre-June-26 counterparts, since there is no 120 day document gathering period, and no final eligibility review. So those are 2 stages further ahead by the time visa office receive our applications.

I do not know if we will be "queued" behind pre-June-26 applications who have passed their final visa office eligibility review, or whether there'll be a separate team handling our applications.

Anyway I am predicting the first post-June-26 medical requests to come out late February/early March 2011.

Wayne.
