Just to provide some perspective, a wicked storm is ripping through eastern Canada and power is out in large areas of Nova Scotia, although Sydney was not named. Today, and possibly this week, might prove to be a time of reflection rather than celebration. In other parts of Ontario, 300 motorists are stranded in their cars. Military helicopters have been sent in to rescue them, but they are battling high winds and blowing snow.
I would like to congratulate those who have received their AORs.
For the rest of us, I believe we have to be more patient. It is winter in Canada and in Canada, it does snow heavily. On days when the snowing is really bad, many workers stay at home and that includes CIC employees. You have to factor in flu etc as well. We should expect a slightly slower pace of processing between now and the end of March. Hopefully it won't be too much.

The process of review before AORs are issued goes through 3 phases.

1. The initial checks when applications are received leading to processing of payment.
2. The eligibility review which leads to issuance of AOR's.
3. The final check before AOR's are actually issued.
The final review is to check if the decision is actually correct. Any application which has queries would be further checked before issuance of AOR. This is why some people with later application reception dates receive their applications before earlier applicants.
With this in mind, if you haven't received your AOR and people who applied after you have received theirs, relax because your AOR will arrive, if there are no problems.

I believe the CIC are already reviewing October applications but the remaining August and September applications are going through final checks.

Thank you for ur reply cappuccino!
so u think its ok if i use little of it till i get response from cic that is till i wait for my AOR?

If CIO are satisfied with initial proof of funds you will not usually be asked to show it again until you complete your recording of landing. When you complete the record is of course up to you as long as you complete it within 1 year from the date of your medical.

However, CIO or visa office can ask to see proof of funds documents or further proof at any time during the process, so I would spend as little as possible from the original amount saved.

I believe visa office usually give 60 days to get further information to them so if you only spend an amount you can get back within this timeframe you should be ok.

I have heard the name N. Gracie several times from members whose applications arrived (search forum for "Gracie" and you will see several people who have had the same) so I am sure your application arrived ok. Asaif and a few other people had a bit of a delay before getting their AOR, it does not go in strict order - so I would wait a week or two before worrying too much!

Best of luck,
Wayne.

Dude, pls use common sense not superstition - the warehouse guy who signed for your application has no bearing on whether or not it will be successful! :)

Hi basmalahh ,

Your application is waiting for review by CIO officer. You will get AOR. You can relax that your application already got an file no with B..... which indicate that your application initially pass the completeness check and now turn to eligibility check by CIO before sending AOR to you. Just give time to them they will inform you.

I also got same mail from CIO in response of my query to CIO and got my AOR after that.

Have a nice time

Mahbub

Hi JSMM, welcome to the list :)

I just added you to the spreadsheet.

Well, many congratz to our only PER of the day, Montrealgirl :)

I honestly think they are giving out many PERs everyday, but people are not reporting them on this thread. For example, Saby2 is not even in the forum database and Akshkumar has not posted since October 27...

The way I see it, if we don't hear of PERs for a few days, when we do, by one of our regular posters, suddenly we will be ahead by a few calendar days (application received calendar days). So don't let it bother you if we are not hearing about them, in my opinion CIO is handing them out anyway...

Damn the cold weather finally reached my neck of the woods, tonight 5 degrees Fahrenheit :o... just showing off to my Canadian friends :)

Thank you, I just saw it, and I paid by credit card, not BD as you wrote, I am not sure if that is important. :)
