Now I am starting to get anxious. My application reached there on 27th August, and CC was cashed on 10th September. No news so far. Please pray for me.

Hi cfoecanada:

The AORs/PERs that came out today are for applicants whose applications were received on Aug. 24. Yours should be coming later this week or early next week... so take it easy on yourself and wait just a bit more...

To the board:
Another poster, Beshocar, application received Aug. 18, cannot be found in the canadavisa forum database... Are you out there Beshocar???

For all who are awaiting PERS / AORS

 Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark.--Rabindranath Tagore

 Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person; having neither to weigh thoughts nor to measure words but to pour them all out, just as it is, chaff and grain together, knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keeping what is worth keeping, and then, with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away. -- George Elliot

 Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.--St. Augustine

 Faith is not something to grasp, it is a state to grow into. -- Mahatama Gandhi

 Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.-- Martin Luther King Jr.

 Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.--Bible

 Faith is the highest passion in a human being. Many in every generation may not come that far, but none comes further. -- Soren Kierkegaard

 The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. To dig for treasures shows not only impatience and greed, but lack of faith. Patience, patience, patience, is what the sea teaches. Patience and faith. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach--waiting for a gift from the sea. -- Anne Morrow Lindberg

 Use your gifts faithfully, and they shall be enlarged; practice what you know, and you shall attain to higher knowledge. -- Matthew Arnold

 That's the thing about faith. If you don't have it you can't understand it. And if you do, no explanation is necessary. -- Major Kira Nerys

 Life is a battle between faith and reason in which each feeds upon the other, drawing sustenance from it and destroying it. -- Reinhold Niebuhr

 It is good to dream, but it is better to dream and work. Faith is mighty, but action with faith is mightier. Desiring is helpful, but work and desire are invincible. -- Thomas Robert Gaines

 Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation. -- Elton Trueblood

 Faith... Must be enforced by reason...When faith becomes blind it dies.-- Mahatma Gandhi

“HAVE STRONG Faith that you don’t want something to happen and you will get what you want - aSHOK”

What is patience?

What is patience?

It is a divine virtue. Unfortunately we are not only badly wanting in this divine virtue, but we also neglect it most foolishly.

GUYS DONT MIND THE SPACE EATEN....

ITS FOR MANY WHO ARE HOLDING THERE HEART..

I assume so, the reason being the local visa office is supposed to be specialist for that country. It knows the value of the applicant's education certificates, can call up provided references during the standard office hours in that country, and so on. At least, that was how it worked under the old system. It's possible more of the burden has been moved away from the VO to CIO but it's impossible to know as we're the first ones through this new system.

You are exactly right but I was thinking what about us who are living in canada and the visa offoce is Buffalo?
My education and part of work experience has been in back home. It will take longer for them to assess. I checked Buffalo site and I couldn't find any processing time except 17 months for applicants before 26 june.
Let's wait to see what will happen and finger crossed for my PER pleaaaaase :)

Today Toronto was freezing. We experienced -23 C!!!!!!

Yes Mari, I know. My family is hoping to land in Toronto... I think I'll get used to the cold as you say, just worried about my wife and children. But hey, thousands of people are living happily in that area, so I suppose we will do the same.

@ Wayne - Most of the US is under snow as well and temperatures are in the teens (Fahrenheit). We, on the East Coast, seem to have missed the snow for now thankfully... I don't remember UK getting that cold, you guys must be setting records...

Keep warm everyone, hope you have wonderful PER dreams

CanadaJimmy, Spicejet, immigrantapplicant and Ralfee Congratulations!!!! :P

I would like to commend CanadaJimmy for your persistence and presence of mind because last week was the real battle for you and youre almost gone and because of your will now you have PER. ;D

Come on CIO let the rain of PER continue!!!!

Guys I would like to post this question again by another forumer, Does anyone here has any idea if the CIO will be having a holiday break (of course everyone does), but when it will start and upto when? I asked this because next week is already christmas day and the week after is new year, as a september applicant I am still hopeful to receive PER before the year ends.

LoL Cam,

Yes it felt like - 25 today in toronto but real temperature was - 14 :) All you have to do in such a weather is to dress very well with suitable canadian jackets, gloves, head cover, boots and maybe head mask :) It's not complicated as it appears

Hello every one,

I have got my PER Today. My DD encashment on 08 sep 10, application recieved on 23 august 2010.

CONGRATULATION TO ALL WHO GOT THE PER.

Mahbub

Carl: The minimum days off that CIO would have would be 27 & 28 December and 3 January. I haven't read anywhere that they will be closed more than that, but expect some may have saved vacation days to take so productivity may slow down.
