Hey All,

Want to let you know that I my application was returned with a letter from CIC that the quota for NOC 1122 got filled on 28th October...got to wait another year I guess!..Does anyone have suggestions on the Quebec Skilled Worker Program? Could I apply through that route?

I don't know anything about Quebec but you have 3 options for the FSW program:

1) Try to choose another NOC (if you can get experience certificates) & apply in it.
2) You can apply through your spouse.
3) As you said, wait for 1-July-2011.

My best wishes

Hello Everybody :)

X'mas and New Year are around the corner and everybody might have been overwhelmed by festive mood :)
Am gonna out of the country after few hours for long vacation! Dont know whether could I spend the times in front of PC as usual. Hence, would like to pour my early wishes here borrowing the words of Charles Dickens.

A Merry Christams to Everybody.A Happy New Year to the World :)

Good Luck YOU all!

Have a nice trip. Kathe ;D

Thinking of Kathe's post, I wondered if anyone would like to share what they traditionally do at this time of year?? I'll start it.....
Tonight the Carol Ships are sailing in Vancouver Harbour. Many large and small boats are decorated with festive lights and make their way along the shoreline broadcasting carols. At major parks and beaches bonfires are lit and lots of people go down to drink hot chocolate and sing along with the music.
We used to attend the Christmas Eve service, but now we go to a friend's church before heading away to my parents home on a small island. During the year we carefully check out the growing trees and select one that looks like it will need topping in December. These trees are usually funny shaped and often require extra branches to be "surgically" added. As we go to bed, Christmas stockings are filled for the children AND adults to enjoy before breakfast, followed by the main presents and a light lunch. A brisk walk to work off the coming dinner is in order if there isn't too much snow. Around 5pm we all go to my brother's family for Turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce and vegetables followed by trifle or Christmas Pudding and brandy sauce and my favourite dark Christmas cake and my Dad's Scottish shortbread. That's our Canadian Christmas. Blessings to all and wishes that everyone receives their Visas in 2011.

Hi Harsha. So sorry to hear that your application was return. You can get details of the QSWP at this link -http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/permanent-workers/index.html. All the best.

Based on the Post 25 June Applicants Google spreadsheet tracker, Harsha's application was received at CIO on the 29th October 2010. I believe CIC only reported in their webpage on the 3rd November 2010, that the cap for NOC 1122 was reached; which would suggest that the information at their webpage is at least 1 week dated!

Hmm well 2 rejections (I am still not counting Jimmy's as rejection just yet) is not LOTS of rejections. As much as I would love every member of this list to pass the eligibility review, realistically with 200+ applicants we are likely to see at least a few rejections, unfortunately. And one of those did not get to eligibility review because the NOC cap was filled.

So thus far we've had 1 rejected eligibility review (once again still not counting Jimmy's just yet!) and 32 successful eligibility reviews. That's around 3% rejection rate so far, which means a healthy 97% pass rate. I think as a whole we're doing ok so far, so I don't think there's cause for individuals to get nervous / frightened just yet! Chins up people! :)

I see someone has already re-added your details, sorry if it was me who deleted you (can't remember if I did or not).
I think once someone goes "red" in the spreadsheet and their re-confirms that they are active we need to be faster removing the red status! :)

Yay, 2 negs since I logged on last night. Do these losers never sleep?
