AOR - Acknowledgment Of Receipt
PER - Positive Eligibility Review
Basically PER is grandpa of AOR ;D ;D ;D

Hi beaanddrei

I wanted to see your details .... but couldn't find the same. So added the same NOW .... sorry for the delay 8) 8)
Please tell us if you have sent PCC along with your application or not.
Also ... you have to change the date for 'Receipt of application' to 24 Sept 2010 (date application received by CIO and not the date you have sent it). Thank you.

Cheers, Anil

Hello Anil,

Funny coz with my first two failed applications, I had my PCC along with my other documents. The 2nd time they returned it to me, they instructed me not to send it anymore coz it will be needed some other time (I assume after the AOR), so on the third try, I did not send the PCC.... I was surprised when I checked around October, they changed their instructions again that we have to send it along with the other requirements......

Nonetheless, I did not send my PCC, hopefully it did not had an impact on the speediness of the issuance of our AOR......

As of last week, my check remains to be outstanding but accdg to CIC per their email, my application is currently awaits processing and that my application number is E0000000***.

Please update my status.

Thanks. ;)

Hi - there have been three sets of instructions regarding PCC

1) Original from June 26th - MUST sent PCC with application
2) Changed on CIC website early August (but not on VO checklists until late August) - DO NOT send PCC
3) Changed recently around mid November - ADVISING you send PCC, but you may omit it and VO will ask for it later

So in my mind this most recent guideline is the fairest. It advises you send your PCC with your application if possible, since this will avoid processing delays in writing to you to request one. But, for those applicants in countries where PCC takes a long time, like several months, they may omit the PCC so that they don't miss falling within their cap.

Anyway, if you didn't send your PCC your checklist will be the version which explicitly says do not send it, and the recent change doesn't REQUIRE it, they are merely saying you're best to send it if you are able to avoid a small delay at visa office, so IMO it is no big deal.

Best of luck.
Wayne.

What is PER?

Previously it was AOR which was being sent in Email and asking to submit full documents to the respective VO in 120 days.

What is in PER email now? What they ask to do as a next step? One of my friend applied after 26 June and waiting for some response.

Is PER same as AOR?

Do they ask to submit all documents again to VO in 120 days or something else as full documents have already been sent to CIO, NS.

Please help.

Regards

Thanks Capuccino,

What can you say about my case? ;D CIC told me that "Your application is currently awaiting processing. Your application number is: E000000***". but my DD remains to be outstanding, meaning was not encashed yet...... ::)

PER means Positive Eligibility Review.
In post 26 june applicants eligibility review (which was earlier done by VO after receiving AOR ) also takes place at CIO. If candidate goes through this eligibility check at CIO, then CIO sends e-mail stating you are through to Positive Eligibility Review and your file is forwarded to your VO and VO will contact you shortly. I don't think we need to submit all documents again. According to me background check will be done at VO and medical and PCC (those who have not submitted along with application) have to be done.
So in this way PER as per our ANIL is " Grandpa" of AOR. ;)

It is the same way you have contents or index in any book

Give page number to all your attachments, below is the example

1.Date of birth certificate - principal Applicant (page 1)
2.Date of birth certificate - spouse (page 2)
3.Dob kids ----(page 3)
4. marriage certificate ---------page 4
5. Passport copy - applicant (page 5-50)
6. Passport copy - spouse (page (51-100)

and so on.........................

the above is not asked by CIO but what I think completeness check is a manual process for CIO . They have documents across the world coming to them, in different formats. Some time they may miss some of the documents which are already attached (the looser is only applicant as CIO may just reject and application reaches to applicant may be after 2-3 monts)

So if you have index attached they may cross verify it with your VO list that you have attached all required document. An extra effort but makes the life easier.

Thanks pun123 for your detials.
yeah it is a organized way to present the documents.
any one can be checked easily.
actully, i also used index but did not use page number.

i think CIO may also introduce this type (or modified type) of system (index) to present the documents to avoid any kind of missing documents issue.

Yes, you are right arasah. CIO should introduce common format for all applicants in same sequence. For that as mentioned by Wayne yesterday computerised online form should be available on CIO site, which needs to be filled online, printouts should be taken, signed and should be sent across to CIO. This will make sense and most of the missing documents problems will be vanished and as mentioned by Wayne CIO need not enter details of applicants manually as will be available with them. They just need to cross verify it, which will speedup the entire process.

Cheers.

If it was a banker's draft it is possible it has been cashed but the bank just can't tell yet.

"Awaiting processing" indicates to me that it has passed its completeness check and now awaits eligibility review.

Wayne.
