I think people who are sending emails are getting relevant replies compared to the phone call enquiries. Looks like the call centre people are strutting the 33 week story where as some people got good response to their emails.

Just goes to show how much cr*p CIC call center talk.

Someone whose application was received on 12th August (only 4 days before yours) has already received their AOR. Why would you have to wait FIVE MONTHS more?

They are probably just told to add 33 weeks onto the received date of anyone who phones, regardless of how far down the eligibility review process your application is.

This re-enforces my suspicion that these call centre operatives have very limited data on your actual application.

Dear Asaif
Do you have any idea as to why I connot see the spread sheet through its link? I am using Internet explorer,have also tried firefox.In niether browers I was able to access the link. Do I need any special setting on my computer?

I usually use Google Chrome, but I also tried accessing it using Internet Explorer and it worked. I guess your problem is not related to the browser but the ISP.

Quick question on the side... Am I the only one who keeps hitting the refresh-button on for the thread and the email inbox every 2 seconds?
::)

I keep hitting refresh on the thread very often. It is my wife's email we have on our application though so I have to wait for her to check it, but she usually checks it several times per day.

However, we're not expecting an AOR until people towards the end of August start reporting receiving them. We're still in early August.

::)

no, you're not ;D
i'm sitting at work for 8 hours and i' doing it all the time :)

I guess, that's the worst part. I know that I can't expect any email anytime soon, but I guess the re-fresh button is my new best friend.

Now back to work ...

Finally I managed to confirm that my application has been opened and the agent said I should be awaiting the result of the first decision around May 19th. But again he had no idea about my explanations of the applicants that are 1.5 month ahead of me and are getting their first AOR these days. Just wanted to say we shouldn't believe all the things we are said by CIC agents, maybe they do not know what is going on with the post 26 June applicantions or just say something to keep the callers away!

I am thinking of two numbers:

1. client ID # (also known as UCI #)
2. file number # (starts with B******)

as regards client ID number, I was told that back in early October by the CIC call center specialist, and understand it was assigned upon successful completeness check.

however, although file number before official PER may not necessarily mean anything, I am inclined that it would be assigned upon successful eligibility review, example Bindu who was informed of file number and then got PER.
agree with you, coffee. UCI is computer based and B******* is paper file number which gets assigned during or after eligibility review. At least it means your application is under eligibility review, just my opinion.

"Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive final determination of eligibility for processing on the basis of:

X Work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on June 26, 2010. "
Great coffee, congrats. I hope it is not the letter effect....lol
