We are now on 129 days since the first post-June-26 application was received by CIC (19th July 2010)

Still not a sign of an AOR!

How come applications received up to 8th November are being cashed if they are only opening applications up until September 15th? Surely he means they are doing eligiblity reviews up until September 15th?

Or maybe the number of CIC that we can call are to a separate department or company who actually don't know what's going on.

I know I've said this a million times but will say it once more - all of this confusion could be avoided if CIC would simply tell us on their website exactly what is going on.

Wayne.

I am not moving a cm away from theory that reported dates on CIC website refer to eligibility review ;D

I am 3 August applicant cashed on 7 September, and I heard nothing from them, so the guy on that end probably was either not informed or putting callers off his neck...

a little more patience - and hopefully we receive a response to our letter, or receive AORs (or rejection letters) - whatever comes first.

Or, if some reports are to be believed, we'll hear diddly squat until April 2011.

Like I said if that's the case, what was the point in even having an "in demand" list, because by the time the visas are issued the occupations will no longer be in demand!

anyone still wants a joke? late Victor Chernomyrdin, the former Russian prime minister, said once:

"we wanted to make it better, but it turned out to be as usual..."

in no means this relates to CIC and their intents, but information sharing-wise I see that things are not turning out to be better with the post 26 June applicants. I feel myself in the dark with this 33-week thing...

Dear Coffee, dear Wayne and all forum members who shared to form the letter:

Your effort is really appreciated. :)

Thanks a lot and keep going. ;)

April would be obscene. I mean... zero communication for 6 months? How are people supposed to know anything about whats happening. They should at least send out something saying the app is being processed, even if it's not strictly speaking an AOR.

The whole thing is already pretty offensive, especially since we were told the IELTS would speed things up.

For some people, April would be nearer to 10 months!

I think if they have done eligibility reviews and are purposefully holding off on sending out AORs and rejections then this is pretty immoral and downright discourteous. What might make things mildly more convenient for them makes life hell for the thousands of applicants who have no idea if they passed their eligibility review.

Furthermore people who cannot tell if their draft is cashed may not even know if CIC received their application, for sure, until April 2011??

There has already been government review on how CIC are doing things, a lot of it has not been very favourable, and I can't see this going down very well if it's true.

IMO those people whose eligibility review is complete should find out as soon as possible.

Wayne.

Thanks a lot Coffee and friends who helped draft this mail, hope by God's grace we get a favorable reply from the Minister's office, atleast which can reduce the growing confusion

Warm Regards
Bindu

dear forumers,

this is to notify you that our letter was sent today to attention of Honorable Minister in the latest version as published in my last post.

I will notify you of the progress.

regards,
Coffee

I really hope we get to hear some good news from CIC soon. Either in the way of an email to all of us who have passed the reviews or as a reply to the email sent to them. I think we all need some sort of a genuine response from them now.

I suggest using postal/snail mail as well for sending the letter out. If someone has or uses a PO Box we can get this done.
I think they tend to respond to postal mail faster and it will also be an official letter with delivery confirmation for us.
Please let me know what you guys think.
Thanks.

hi,

I can express-mail our letter, but CIC would use regular mail in return which is likely to take circa 2 months. so I think I will receive AOR (or rejection letter) faster than the postal reply (I sincerely hope so).

does anyone has any concern over e-mailed letter? I find this form of communication as official as well. I got confirmation that the letter was delivered (an automated reply).

No concerns here about using email format and ++ thanks for the efforts of all who put together the letter. Not easy to do with such a diverse bunch!!

I'm not sure how official they will consider the email coming from an "online forum" that has no affiliation to an actual entity/organization. I can regular mail it here from the US and it will get there in a week and if they respond to it in another week then we can get it by the third week.
This would be in addition to the email and I can volunteer to do this.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi Coffee:

Thank you for all your efforts :) Where are you planning to land by the way, have you decided? I see that we are both in NOC 1122, hopefully we may run into each other someday.

Best,
Cam
