Been thinking about this, and if the terrible rumour that they will stockpile all the apps and send all AORs out in April 2011 is true, then this is quite stupid. They have an in-demand list because these are the occupations that Canada needs NOW. If we don't even get to visa office until April and some visa offices are 13 months wait, then the visas won't be issued until almost summer 2012.

That's 2 years after the in-demand list came out, by which time a new in-demand list will almost certainly be in the process of being prepared, if not released.

So what would be the point in having the 29 list in the first place???

I think most people given the current state of rumours would live with AORs in January.

Wayne.

Dear All Seniors,

I have some points to clear.

(1) Is it necessary to send 10th & 12th Marksheet to CIO ? becouse in New Delhi Check list it says only POST SECONDARY educational documents ?

(2) As my 10th MarkSheet is in HINDI as well as my Employment contract is also in Hindi ? What to do with it ? What is the procedure to submit it ?

(3) Whether Spouse Passport photo copy need to send to CIO ?

Please let me know on it.

Thanks

Mayank

Hi Mayank,

I'm not a senior by any means so they could probably help you out better. In my opinion though these are what you could do.

1. It is better to send in both (10th and 12th) just in case. They could reject the application if they find something missing but they shouldn't be too concerned by anything extra you send in.

2. For the documents that are in Hindi, you could get them translated and then notarized as true translations and true copies.

3. I'm not entirely sure about this one but if your spouse is part of your application then you would probably have to submit all supporting documents for her as well. The senior members could definitely provide more accurate information in this regard.

All the best and may we all land in Canada soon.

Hello Mayank,

Welcome back :).

1. Yes, you need to submit your 10th and 12th certificates to the CIO with your initial application. ALL of us have done that!

2. If any document is not in English or French, you will have to translate it using a professional translator and submit the translated version along with the originals.

3. Yes, ALL of the documents mentioned in the checklists are required with the initial application to CIO. Spouse's passport copy is one of them.

I suggest you go through the instructions guide for filing the application.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi all,
Today I called CIC to check the status of my application. The agent said they have opened applications received up to Sep 15th and told me to call back in two weeks if I haven't got any Emails from them. I asked him as no post 26th of June applicants, even those who are 2 months ahead of me have not got any Emails, how can I be expecting an Email in two weeks? He said I don't know about others but about you I'm telling you to check your Email regularly and then call back in two weeks if you hear no news from us! Silly answer isn't it?

Hi,

1) Business card - it's not completely essential, if the person supplying the reference does not have a business card then write an explanatory note and also make sure the person's personal telephone and email are included. The main purpose of the business card is that CIC/CHC can see that this is a real person giving you the reference and can contact them during verification of employment if necessary

2) Salary details - ideally the reference letter given to you by your employer should include salary details. If this isn't possible then salary slips will usually suffice.

3) Reliving letter? If by this you mean reference letter than yes, you MUST prove the period of employment and duties that you are claiming, so an experience letter from your employer is imperative.

Basically try to get as close as you can to what the checklist is asking for with a reference letter and contracts of employment, and then if you have to provide additional contact details (instead of business card) and salary slips include a letter to explain why.

Best of luck.
Wayne.

How come applications received up to 8th November are being cashed if they are only opening applications up until September 15th? Surely he means they are doing eligiblity reviews up until September 15th?

Or maybe the number of CIC that we can call are to a separate department or company who actually don't know what's going on.

I know I've said this a million times but will say it once more - all of this confusion could be avoided if CIC would simply tell us on their website exactly what is going on.

Well, My application was received on 12th sept. I aint got no email. Nobody has got any email for that matter. The call centre people are clueless and are talking just to get people off their backs now.
