Applications after 26/6 in any NOC CONNECT HERE TO GET THE STATUS

DocManu: I've read that they ask you to prove who you are by providing your ID information, date of application received by CIO, etc. Is that what you mean? I don't think the post 26/6 group have been given numbers yet. The phone number I gave you I cut/pasted from one of the posts. The way it was given would be the same way to call long distance to Nova Scotia in Canada so double check that the number at the start would be the correct one(s) for calling from India.

Dear All,

I have another news to share...this time its a bad one ( for me..)...Today my brother, who is in Canada, got a call from CIC, and was told that they returned my application on the 21st of JULY.....( it reached there on the 19th..)....that means it is lost....my brother said the person was very apologetic, and advised him to ask me to RE-APPLY as soon as possible. My brother discussed all the details like my ORIGINAL IELTS score, the original of my wife's degree in sealed envelop and my original transcripts.......the original police certificates, experience letters.... The person asked him to send the completed application again, anything which cannot be send with the application, write a letter explaining the whole story (that first returned application was lost in the post and all the original which were sent are also gone, so it will take time )... The person asked my brother to be my representative next time....The person also gave my brother his name and employment number, and asked him to write full story in a letter, and said to him ;; LETTERS ARE READ HERE( CIC) AND ANYTHING WHICH IS NOT YOUR FAULT, ARE LISTENED HERE......

I am totally lost.....don't know what to do..where to start again..its so hard to compile the whole application docs.....

Hi Noolan,

I am very sorry to hear about this news. This might explain why several people have been waiting for so long without encashment.

The important thing to find out here is did they say WHY they returned your application in the first place? Since your NOC is not 1122 you have strong chance to resubmit an application and to still be accepted, but this is only any good if you can ensure that whatever mistake you made on your original application is not repeated.

Sorry Noolan to hear about this but i think if you gather your documents so fast and send it again with the letter explain what happen i think you will hit somthing in the CAP this is my feeling and i think you will do it believe in me

i think now there is alot of returning application that had been lost we have alot of people waiting for encashment my point of view every body hadn't hear anything for more than a month should call and ask about the application if returned start gathering the documents if not so you know you still there waiting

the problem will be in the IELTS test result i don't know if they give you another copy or what ???

i did my MBA in 2002 and in 2010 i appeared in viva and passed and got transcript and degree
on my transcript it is written
semesters
spr 2001
aut 2001
spr 2002 etc
and also written
result declared on mar 2010
it is problem that i did my job in between 2002 and 2010 ..it is 4 years experience....willl they count my experience bcz i heard that cic count only taht exp which is after compltion of your studies.will they give me 21 points for my experience.
moreover will they give me 22 points for my MBA ..plz tell me taht will they give me 21 points for exp which is between the studies from 2002 and 2010 and will i get 22 points for MBA

Dear iram1,

You are referring to the site of a Legal advisor company not the official site of Canada. What you should consider is the Immigration guide. You can dowload it from the cic site. Refer to the pages 10-11 Factor 3 Work experience. It requires only that your job duties correspond to NOC category. NOT A WORD ABOUT THE SAME FIELD EDUCATION or CONSIQUENCE YOU EARNED IT.

It is all SPECULATIONS of lawers to earn money!!!!

However, if you don't feel confident about your ability to fill the application by yourself, i would strongly suggest you to pay for legal service for this! At least you will have somebody to blame!

This is the first I have heard about this, but please note that this is NOT the CIC website and that this is not an official source.

You might be better sending an email to your local visa office (Canadian High Commission) with your query (unfortunately I don't think CIC will answer general queries, only case specific queries). But I have not seen anything OFFICIAL which states that your work experience only counts after your studies.

I have had enough experience of immigration lawyers and consultants to tell me that they do not always tell the truth.

There are interesting things written in their minutes:

Permanent Resident Processing – Bill Hawke
Becoming a Permanent Resident:
- Depending on the CIC, it can take up to three months to schedule an appointment for this purpose. At some CIC's, applicants can receive same day service. An urgent process is already in place for clients if:
permanent residence visa will expire within 2 months
temporary resident status will expire due to a delay for an appointment by the concerned local office
there is an urgent situation (ie: need to start work immediately, etc)
- There is no guarantee that the client will be scheduled for an appointment before TR status or PR visa expires
- Clients have the option of presenting themselves at a point of entry without an appointment


I think this issue refers to applications from the in-Canada applicants, but their Call Center does not make any difference! So, it is more like the "in worst case 33 weeks".
