Hi Kathe and Coffee: Thanks for providing the information and the link. I've read through it and it looks to me as if it covers IN CANADA processing only, and the only FSW timelines I could see were ones that applied to pre 26/06. Have I missed something?

Hi Pippin,

Correct, it was for applicants in Canada, perhaps this page didn't precisely declare whether for pre or post June 26 applicants, however, if read thoroughly, is able to spot certain info vis-à-vis PR application process. Since the application package of federal skilled worker is the same for all applicants either in or outside Canada, IMO the processes by CIC for both in and out group might have been pretty similar.

Hi engy & welcome,

What is ur way of payment, CC or BD ? If u can confirm its collection so u successfully passed the completeness check which (IMO) includes checking this point.

Our best wishes for u :)

Hi Engy...
Welcome to this thread.... I don't know whether it will be a big problem or not ...BUT it is a problem ??? ??? Because you didn't write the NOC code on envelope ..your application will be considered under AEO category.... (FSW2).
If CIO could understand :-X :-X..... that you did a mistake by NOT writing the NOC on the envelope ....then it may sail through. But I doubt ...... for the way they are dealing with many other applications ...... You have to just pray..... ::) ::)

Cheers, Anil

Hello everyone:

I finally received my FBI background check :)
Can we open the envelop or do we have to send it in their own envelop, like our education transcripts?

Thanks in advance,
Cam

for my bad luck i forgot to write NOC code but for my good luck i put the right address and it is obvious that i am a FSW1 applicant as it is written on the address........................ do you think i must send a signed letter to mention that i forgot to write NOC?

As long as you wrote the correct NOC code on the Economic Class form of the application, then you might be ok - it takes 10 seconds to open the application and glance at this form to see what your first choice of NOC code is. Obviously they prefer people to write the NOC code on the front since it makes sorting easier for them, but since they must send a letter explaining why they failed you in the case of a rejection it is surely faster for them to check the code than it is to send you the rejection letter.

So like I say as long as you wrote the correct NOC code on the forms I think you will be ok.

Hi,

I have a question. My friend called CIO last friday. He was given Client id but not File no. she said only client id has been issued to his file till then. Is he through eligibility check? He asked me and I am asking you. I am still confused, how can they just issue client id only?

Hi All,
I am a post-june 2010 applicant. Just sent my application package last week. NOC 2121. Will drop by to this thread for advice from seniors.
Wish you all good luck.

Hi

Is your friend POst 26/6?

Secondly as I understand once the data is entered in the CIC system (for 2000+ applicants as complete one as received) they have the Client ID. Only thing we are not clear is about 33 week time is real or just to push the caller away from calling the agents.

I read in

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/good-news-for-all-applicants-in-backlog-t46255.150.html#lastPost

a minister level meeting is scheduled on 1st November 2010.

Hope the outcome would be published on CIC website by 2nd Nov or so.
