Hello All,

I have been following this thread eagerly over the past few weeks as I collect the documents for filing. I have couple of questions, pardon me if they are silly.

1. The CIO checklist and Visa office checklist (Buffalo, in my case) both list certain documents e.g. Main Application (0008), Schedule-1,3, passport bio-data page etc - does it mean we have to send two applications (or two Schedule-1 etc) in the envelope, or does it imply that we send all the documents requested in both checklists once?

2. Funds - I saw in couple of threads that Wells Fargo is the only one with international BD, but I do not have an account there. Does anyone have any experience getting a BD without an account? Alternately, I am thinking of getting 2-$550 international money orders from USPS. Do you think it would be ok?

thanks

Dear Harvin

Welcome to this thread..... 8) 8)

(1) Understood your query........ You have to attach the original application form (IMM0008) & all its related schedules / other forms along with the CIO checklist. Keep the CIO checklist on the top (as a forwarding letter) and arrange all the forms (in original) as per the list + photocopy of the data pages of PA's PP + IELTS TRF (original) + required no. of photographs + BD (original). This will be one set. Make other set for visa office specific requirement - But you don't have to attach any of the above mentioned documents again (except photocopies of PA + spouse + dependents). You can mention that these documents are attached with the CIO checklist. Don't put one more copy of these documents / forms.
(2) Funds - If you are going for Int.BD ..... it can be done at any bank with FOREX div. / facility. You need not have an account with that bank!!! You can even approach Cox & Kings or Thomas Cook ...they are also doing. Don't forget to carry your ID proof + PP + proof of fees requirement (copy of fee payment form). Don't have any idea about the 'money order from USPS'

Hope it cleared your doubts. ;D ;D ...send your application at the earliest... All the best

Cheers, Anil

I didn't sign on the checklists. Let's see what seniors have to say about this! At least my BD has been charged; let's see what happens next! Do pray and wait for the seniors to reply

Hi,

even my package was 0. 650 kg.

All the best with your application.

The package weight depends on many factors

1. no of passport you have + past passports + Kids passports
2. Number of emp contract + reference letters

For example
you have 2 kids and have 2 of your old passports then you have some 100 pages
You and your spouse have changed 5 jobs each contract was for 5 pages then (5x5x2 = 50 pages)

So 150 pages may be 0.5 kg or so.....

just check the CIO + VO list, all documents should be attached, weight does not matter

Hi Indira,
;D :D :D ;D :o :oThey will NOT process ur application according to weight in grams or KGs...
Only ur all all forms and documents shud be complete...
Now relax...and enjoy...u have done ur best...
BTW...let us start a quiz....whose FSW application wt was highest?
Mine was 0.800 Kg something.. :D ;D ;D :-* :-*

just check your cehck list

Thanks Pun123,

I understand now, we are claiming for just 1 employment, each of us, and we have 3 current passport, plus my old one :).

I have asked for a 1 kg package just in case..

No matter how many times i check the documents look the same and i cant find a place where i could have printed something else. Also we are just providing documents for what we claim in the forms. Prab had discontinued a MBA course after 10 months, and that we have just mentioned in personal history and have not provided any documentation(the college did shut shop 5 years back) to prove he studied there. That's the only thing where we could have provided documentation, but we thought not to confuse too much and just provided what they have asked 8) 8).

Gone through the checklists, and highlighted whichever documents we are submitting. Prepared 2 bundles, CIO checklist and VO checklist separately, put them into the same envelope and waiting for the fedex guy to come and pick it up ??? ???

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
