If they haven't completed the eligibility reviews of at least 20,000 applicants (which since noone has received an AOR post-June-26 they haven't) then they can't close the cap.

I think they must be eager to get to do the eligiblity review for the post-June-26, so hopefully we can expect some AORs to start coming through in the next few weeks. But as I understand it an application does not count towards the cap UNTIL it has had its eligibility review complete and forwarded to visa office - therefore CIO probably don't even know themselves whether the cap has been reached or not.

True. It is very possible that the Quota has been reached, but CIO can not officially announce it as closed till they complete the eligibility reviews and send/count AORs, which would hence count towards the quota. A direct implication of this is that even though credit cards/bank drafts are encashed, it does not mean that we made it to the quota. The application might very well be returned if CIO starts dispatching AORs and they already sent enough AORs(1000/20000) till the application came up for eligibility review. I personally find it hard to believe that some NOCs are still open even though the 20K limit might still not be reached.

I honestly don't know what procedure they are using, but if what you think is true, just imagine all the money that has to be returned. Especially with BDs... I would assume they would write a check and include it with the application... but some applicants would have difficulty cashing that check in their home country... and what about exchange rate differentials that have taken place as time has passed? ...

Honestly though, to go through the application for completeness it would take about an hour. If they do a more thorough search to determine eligibility, I would assume another two hours. Why do it in separate steps? Then again what do I know? :)

Hi All – Here are the changes over the past week. Quite a bit were seen over the past week with regards to the status of May and June 2010 applicants; but very little movement in CC/BD charging/encashment for the post 25 June 2010 applications though.

Things are moving positively.

Cheers

Temasek, thanks for this bit of analysis, hat off!

I read from May and June applicant threads that the slowdown in the AOR issuance relates mainly to London, Damascus, Cairo and certain other visa offices (Moscow is part of this slowdown, none or very few got AORs from here). but things are moving although slower than we wish :D, so yesterday I was more inclined that mid October (like Cappuccino, myself and certain others wished originally) is less likely to bring any AORs to our post-26June application, and that there is no separate team to process post-26June applicants.

taking into account number of unprocessed applications and speed of processing of the pre-26June applications I am looking into the end of October for London, Damascus, Cairo and other office applicants to have their eligibility reviews completed and receive last AORs -> and as a result for our second page to open.

Well I already mentioned that my BD has been encashed in the previous month. The bank is not confirming the exact date though! My NOC is 7216. Please update!

Hi Guys,

Please could someone confirm how many number of signatures are required for the whole application set?

1. CIO checklist end,
2. VO checklist end,
3. Schedule 1 form,
4. Additional Family Information form,
5. All attached extra sheets.

Is that all :o :o?

The complete package is ready now and getting very nervous :-X :-X :-\ :-\

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
