hi guys,

my CC was charged on 18th of august and today i got email from them.

"You have indicated that you have work experience in occupations with the following NOC codes: 2173- Software Engineer, Software Analyst, Software Developer, Trainee Software Engineer, 2147- Research Assistant. These occupations are not included on the list of eligible occupations specified in the instructions identified by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008.

For the reasons outlined above, your application does not meet the requirements of the Ministerial Instructions and your application is not eligible for processing."

they are saying only http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list NOC are valid for visa, am wondering where is the NOC code for Software engineers ? when i applied NOC 2173 was there.

guys need your inputs on this please....

thanks,

piyush

Hi. If you applied after Nov 2008 then NOC 2173 was never part of the in-demand list (neither the 38 list nor the new 29 list). The reason being that I am a software developer and we were unable to apply for FSW1 until my wife's industial pharmacy NOC code was brought out in the new list.

To apply as Federal Skilled Worker with IT experience now will require a job offer (LMO/TWP or AOE).

I am just wondering why the CC was charged before the VO realized that the NOC is not on the demand list. The applicant is instructed to indicate the NOC on the envelope. It is expected that upon receipt of the package, and the NOC shown on the envelope is not on the demand list, then the entire thing should be returned.
How do you see this?

I find this also strange given that applicants in the May/June thread are reporting to have had their application returned, without CC being charged, for NOC duties not matching.

Seems a bit strange, some officers will go as far as checking the NOC duties before attempting to charge a card, yet others are quite happy to charge the card without even checking if the NOC codes themselves are eligible?

Thanks and sorry if it looks like a spam :(:(. I just don't want to take a chance after hearing a couple of rejections for not so relevant job descriptions.

I owe you all a heart of gratitude :) :) :)

Indira Prabhakaran.

If this is not a relevant job description, I dont know what is! In my opinion, with job title 'architect' it fits neatly with NOC description.

Dear Elshami...
Thank you really for your feelings. 24 seven i'm saying:(Yaaaaaaaaaaa Raaaaaaaaaaaab). 24 seven i can't fight my fears of being rejected. But...i believe in miracles. I believe that nothing good or bad would ever happen unless he wants so.But after all i'm a human being. I have nothing to do about the whole matter now.I tried to do my best. Now it's up to Allah. Let's all pray that Allah is more kind to let us down.

It would be an honour to travel with you and with all who participated in this forum.
In fact i'm planning after we recieve our AOR and begin to calm down to invite all who belongs to the same VO to gather and meet face to face to celibrate. I know it's difficult and too early to suggest such thing, but why not? It's a tinny part of my biggest dream ever to immigrate.

Yaaaaaaaaaaa Raaaaaaaaaaaab :don't let us down

In fact, M000dy, i have the same point of view.Because i'm so afraid to be rejected because i couldn't get detailed job duties in my experience certificates from my employers.
