Hi People,

I'm back with last minute questions :) :).

1. When a passport has no stamps what so ever(brand new one), should we still photocopy ??? ??? ??? all the 36 pages of it(empty of course) and get them notarized :o :o :o :o? Our Son's passport and my new one are completely free from any visa or stamps :P :P. Or would it be OK for the Notary public to just write and certify that all the pages in the passport are empty and only notarize the photocopy of the bio data pages?

2. I got my bank balance certification in the bank's letter head signed by the branch manager and an additional bank official, it mentions my name, address and my current balance as of date in INR. Also it says they issue this as per my personal request. I requested them to put the account opened date(opened in 2007), but they said that was the usual format they issue and cant change. Hope it's OK.

3. On the additional family information forms, do we have to write the names in both English and native language in the same form(space constraint :-[ :-[), or can i provide 1 form filled in English and other filled in Tamil(my native language)?

As always i stand grateful to the forum :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi Indira.... :) (I know you were quite busy)

As per the instructions.... we have to submit the complete set of PP irrespective of empty one (or full of visas) .... so better to get the full set photocopied ...... and get only biodata page notarized with a note - No. of pages - 36 (or 18/2) .....I got the thing done in this way....... By the way I also got my old passport photocopied & notarized (it had my travel history, with visas)

Bank certificate is fine....if you can include last 6 months statement ...it will be good.

Yes we do have to write ....I also faced the same problem ......But we have to write it. Now, because you raised this question ...I got a doubt :o 8) :o Our native language... ???..... Will it be our national language ....or nation language... ??? ??? or mother tongue....... again if spouse is from different community / caste / region.... :o >:( ??? which language should we consider?? However I have written in Hindi..... ;D ;D
All the Best....... Hope you are sending it today.....
Cheers, Anil

Native language means your mother tongue. Though HINDI is the official lang of India, for me I had to write in Urdu as it is my native lang.

Hi Anil,

Thanks and i will photocopy all the pages and then get the first and last pages notarized. A whooping 36 + 36 = 72 empty passport pages going to go from this end of the world to that :P :P, searching for a better future 8) 8) 8)

WRT the Additional family info form, I'll have 2 sets of forms, one with everything filled in English, and the other one the names in Tamil and other details in English. Hope this suffices.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

By the way, name of recepient (who encashed money from my Credit Card) was stated as "Immigration Canada", Sydney

I am not worring about it, because sum is exactly the same as it should be and this credit card number was stated only in the official form I have initially sent.

hi guys,

my CC was charged on 18th of august and today i got email from them.

"You have indicated that you have work experience in occupations with the following NOC codes: 2173- Software Engineer, Software Analyst, Software Developer, Trainee Software Engineer, 2147- Research Assistant. These occupations are not included on the list of eligible occupations specified in the instructions identified by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008.

For the reasons outlined above, your application does not meet the requirements of the Ministerial Instructions and your application is not eligible for processing."

they are saying only http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list NOC are valid for visa, am wondering where is the NOC code for Software engineers ? when i applied NOC 2173 was there.

guys need your inputs on this please....

thanks,

piyush

Hi Piyush,

Please give us your time line :) Did your application reach the CIO NS on or before 25th June 2010? I guess both the mentioned NOCs 2173 and 2147 were never present in the on demand lists for Canada FSW streams, that were introduced in NOV 2008. Please note that software engineers may fit into other eligible NOCs also :P :P. I wish you spent some time before applying to research about the exact policies and procedures for applying for the immigration.

That's not the end of it ;), i hear there are around 60 ways you can apply for Canadian PR and FSW is only one of them :o :o

Good luck and this time you better do your research :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
