They don't need to issue 20000 AOR, they just to have ascertain that 20000 applications have got to the stage where they count towards the limit. Their wording SUGGESTS that this is when it passes the eligibility review and is placed into processing at visa office, but only CIC knows that for sure.

It really is in CIC's interests to
a) Advertise on their website the moment one of the NOCs reaches the 1000 limit
b) Advertise on their website the moment the total number of FSW1 applications for 2010-2011 reaches 20000

Otherwise as well as costing further applicants a lot of wasted time and money, they are also costing themselves wasted time and money in having to return applications.

So if an application counts towards the limit as soon as it has been card charged/completeness check, they should be able to advertise the limits fairly soon, and then start processing the May/June applicants. If however it counts towards the limit only after an application has passed its eligibility review, then IMO they HAVE to do the post-June-26th applications first else it will be many many months before they can tell when the limit is reached.

Wayne.

hello Cappuccino and brabus,

this adds to our speculations and guesses, and the final say is with CIC who send AORs. here is how things could also turn:

1. NOC 1,000 per cap x 29 NOCs = 29,000 applications to receive and charge
2. after 29,000 applications are received, announce caps are full, process for 2010-2011 over - stop receiving
3. of these 29,000, the eligibility review can be done after processing pre-26 June applications, leaving only 20,000 as announced, or simultaneously (depends on staffing at the moment)
4. return fees to 9,000 and send AORs

I plan to remove this post after a while

Yes, I must admit that reading this forum can turn into an addiction of some sorts! :P

For weeks I have been watching your posts and finally decided to share my views.
Firstly, Canada processes all new applications based on new rules separately. This means that a different team processes these applications. There has been a delay in processes because of a re-alignment of resources. This is no queue. This means that each set of application will go into separate lines.

Secondly, David Cohen's office has advised that only 10% of applications have gone into process. Many of the applications are being returned and will be returned for minor reasons. This means that applicants will need to be extremely careful when completing applications.

Thanks
KR

Dear Good People,

My take on this issue is that, there is absolutely going to be a different approach to post June 26, 2010 applications. The main objective of the new rules which is a modification of the Nov 2008 Minister's Instructions, is to again increase the speed at which NEW applications are processed, and quoting from the Minister's speech, the aim of the new rules is to,......''eliminate backlog and ensure that all NEW APPLICATIONS are considered in several months rather than several years.''. Again, he goes on to say that the 20,000 cap for the new NOC 29 is to enable CIO,.......'' focus on those newcomers who have the best chances of finding job quickly in Canada''.
The new rules also asked for original IELTS results to reduce the time wasted by a VO in language proficiency assessment, when pre june applicants had to write a letter of submission. Also, all additional documents ( as required by specific visa office) are to be submitted along with application to CIO, again to shave off the 120 days, required under old rules, to submit documents. It is obvious that, the post 26, 2010 applications will receive faster attention, as the VOs will process them quickly, then go back and continue to eliminate the backlog( which the pre june 26, now falls into).
We must realize that a great number of pre Nov 2008, applications( ie 2004 - 2007), are still waiting, (and they are part of the backlog that the immigration also wants to reduce) as priority was given to post Nov 2008 applicants, based on the MIs issued at that time. The same approach will be adopted in this present situation.
Please note that this analysis is my personal opinion, while i also give due respect to the individual views of all my good people on this forum. GOODLUCK TO ALL OF US.

Chris.

Chris. CIO should hire you as their consultant so that they will know how to reduce their backlog.. Im also post 6/26 applicant and hope that they will process it more faster since you pointed out the reason why we have to submit all VO documents and original IELTS test. CIO wants to maximize their time to be able to accomodate all applicants especially the old ones but its hard to check it from time to time if all the documents are already submitted by pre 6/26 applicant coz they never know when this particular applicant will submit all documents since they have alloted 120 days to comply not unlike those post 6/26 which VO documents is there along with their application..

SNIPPER

i, myself have worked for only a year as a staff nurse and had been a CI since (almost 4 years already). it has been my worry eversince that they might not consider my CI experience. tho my consultancy agent says it will be considered since NURSE INSTRUCTOR is a sub-category of NOC 3152 (RN).

let's just hope and pray for the best my friend. :)

hello everyone...

I wanna ask anyone here regarding bank loans, do we need to indicate it in our personal net worth?

Thanks!

Dear Nikka

IMHO... I don't think you are required to show bank loan...until unless it has been specifically asked for (...to show any kind of loan)!!!

Dear all, I am a post June 25, 2010 applicant. My application reached to the CIO on September 02, 2010. At that time my experience was 2 years and 11 months and I claimed points for my 2 years of experience.
.......
.......
Could some one also guide me how to email them?
Thanks and best regards
Ammaar

Dear Ammaar

I may be wrong on this..... but I feel you need not send any mail to anyone as far as claim for your experience is concerned... While going through your application... they should /might consider this and will award points accordingly..... On the other hand.... you must have already given a thought on this issue & gone ahead with minimum 67 points....????

Cheers, Anil

Hi Raj:
There are so many queries about birth certificates on the Forum. Recently, on PAGE 2 of the thread, "N/Delhi VO...post-26 June 2010 applicants - lets get connected", Anil04_10 posted a letter dated 3 September 2010 from the ND VO regarding requirement for ORIGINAL transcripts. In the letter, item 3 states: "YOU MAY PROVIDE PASSPORT, SCHOOL CERTIFICATE, RATION CARD OR ANY OTHER GOVERNMENT ISSUED DOCUMENT SHOWING YOUR DATE OF BIRTH."
I don't know if this is VO specific, but I hope it helps. Cheers.

I just got my english result and my category is also same as your's ...i could score only moderate 8 points in english...I am planing to send my documents next month..
