Guys will the Visa office process your applications or will your files be processed in Canada?

First step is done in Canada. If you pass, it will be sent to your VO for the next steps.

A word of caution. Quite a number of questions posed are related to Visa Office requirements, with regards to submission of documents to CIC. Do be mindful that Visa Office requirements may defer from country to country. The need, for example, to photocopy all pages of the passport or to detail all travels since attaining a certain age is only required by some. Consequently, in posing a question, my suggestion is for you mention the Visa Office which you are referring to, so that you can receive the clarification sought. The last thing we want is for an application to be returned on the basis of non compliance, purely arising from the innocence of wanting to help a fellow forumer.

Hi FMA,

Have a great landing experience and yes, we will meet in Canada sometime ;)

I'm here ;) was ooto for 2 days and back :) God knows how crazy i'm running to collect and sort out the paper work! Again tomorrow i have to leave to my home town and spend the rest of the week there to sort out all three birth certificates(I just found out the names of my in laws are not spelled correctly in Prab's BC :() and so need to reapply for a new BC for him. Also the same procedure for my BC as well, my parents name are slightly mis-spelt in my BC and so want to correct it and once i get them done, i'll have to go to Coimbatore to apply for the passport reissue.

Great to know credit cards are being charged. I still hope we will have 1 reserved seat under 2151 :) until we launch the application on Oct 10th :) Fingers crossed :-\ :-X :-[ ::) ??? :'(

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Seems 11 people have now had their credit cards charged, the most recently received application being 27th August.

Our application was received 30th August and we paid by banker's draft. I called my bank yesterday and it hasn't been cashed yet, but I am going to give them a call at the end of each week so as soon as I have heard it is cashed I will post here.

Best of luck to everyone.
Wayne.

Hi guys,

Can someone confirm if they have heard something like CIC/VO asking for the Form 16 from Indians to prove employment? Just heard from a forum member that he submitted the Form 16 as per his consultant's suggestion. Thumb rule : The more documents to prove your employment, the more stronger the application becomes Wink

We are planning to send out the up to date reference letters, employment contract/appointment letters, 2 latest payslips. Would this suffice? Have anyone sent more documents regarding work experience?

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi Munna22,

:) Oh yes, i am very much aware of the fact that ND VO only asks for the notarized employment contracts and the up to date reference letter from each employer. In fact the payslips itself are the additional documents that we are going to attach. One of my friends, have submitted his Form 16, as per his consultant's advice and he has got his PR in less than a year. My question is, does it mean that the more documentation you provide, the better your chances strategy? Has anyone else come across something like CIC asking for Form 16 from applicants to prove the employment?

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Saw the google document. The color coded is a nice touch :)

Hi Indira

I could see your 2 posts after a long time...... like, you are quite active & up to date in this thread :D

Though I too heard the same about Form 16... and asked my previous consultant. They said it is not necessary and in no way going to speed up the case. Moreover, we are already providing the details of our employment.... that too the latest one..in case of doubt, one can call the employer and find out the details. Whereas latest Form 16 could be a year old (now it will be latest!!!!)...and if somebody is manipulative...can even manage through Form 16 :o 8) :o

Somehow.. I feel it is not required..... many may not be having .... ;D ....many may be having, but don't want to submit..... :'( ....AND it may also create unnecessary confusion in VO .... further they may ask other applicants to submit the same.... :P :P :P

Thumb Rule should be - Submit the correct and required documents (the one which has been asked). Rest people in both departments (CIO & VO) are smart enough to come to a desired conclusion.

What do you say Indira (& munna22)

Cheers friends, Anil

Hey Anil,

True :) Yes, i've been on a toss every single day here :( >:(, I'm OK ??? to work hard, as long it pays off 8) 8) 8).

We'll go with the required documentation only as of now and let's see how it goes.. May be we will just attach one latest payslip of both of us for the current jobs. Anyway that's not too taxing as we only claim for 1 employment each(me and Prab). Prab has been in the same company since we returned from UK(2005) and yes, that's a partnership firm 8). But we are going to claim that Prab is an employee of the firm(making it clear that the claimed job description is just the same as what is required by 2151 - Architects are Architects everywhere 8) 8)). We can get the contracts and reference letters :P :P. The Form 16 issue was raised because, Prab will not have a normal Form 16. It's some other form for working partners and co owners of firms.

Good luck with your Mission :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

dear indira...send ur FSW application to CIO as early as possible...it is already mid-september...and quota may fast get filled up...god bless
