Hi Pippin,

Thanks and i guess we can for sure provide it if they ask after 6 months from now :).

BTW, i haven't yet read about any architects (2151) applying under the new rules. Aren't there many? Sounds like good news for us :).

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi Canada121,

Just to confirm, we are planning to send in our complete application package by 2nd or 3rd week of September 2010 under NOC 2151, as soon as we get the IELTS results. We should hopefully have our PCCs from UK by then. We don't have the liquid funds required as of now and we are confident of arranging the same before end of August or at least before we send the application, we will get a current bank balance for 17000 CAD required by the CIC positively.

We cant show the bank balance as of now for past 6 months. But we can maintain it in future until we get our application approved.

Is it OK to just show the current balance as of now and show a consolidated 6 months statement during our final stages of processing with VO in New Delhi? Or would you suggest us waiting for another 6 months and then take the bank statement and send the application? I'm sure we wouldn't want the latter as the 1000 cap will have definitely reached by then and our application will be of no use :(.

Please Suggest.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Dear Indra

NOpe with funds u can maitain when it comes to u they will not ask with first application u have to show to VO by the time u get CIO approval it will be around 2 months and when u send ur application to VO it will be around 4th month so u will have statement atleast for 4 months that will work for u. best of luck

FMA

Hi FMA. In the post 26/6 applications, the whole package goes to CIO now. It seems only the PCC is to be sent to VO, upon request, so I still think you would have to show sufficient funds from the date of first application....unless this too has changed in the past couple of days???

Dear LOGICSOFTS,

Bank a/c statements for 6 months.
Certificates are not reliable. Your consultant is not right in his advice.

yes but im in the same boat as Indra...

There is no mention of a need for 6 or 3 months bank statements. Based on the VO checklist, you only need to submit any one of the following to CIO;
1) current bank certification letter; or
2) evidence of savings balance; or
3) fixed or time deposit statements.

Having said that, the need to produce bank statements may however be requested at a later stage should the VO need further verification.

Thanks guys, i guess this helps for now :).

Please could you all update on where you are in documents prep and when are you expecting to send out that big envelope?

Which is the most challenging doc to actually get ready?

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Dear all
I have another concern about my education.
My First degree is Bachelor in Pharmacy.
And my second degree is Master in Economics. It seem irrelevant.
How many i will get from my education 25 or 22 points? coz i estimate my educational score 25 points.

Hello people,

Quick question,

i'm not able to understand what documents to provide for the below highlighted point.(it's in the New Delhi VO Specific form(E37029), page 3 and point 3)

3.
CHILDREN’S INFORMATION (IF APPLICABLE)
•Children’s birth certificates (which name their parents)
•Proof of legal registration of adoption for adopted dependent children
•Proof of custody for children under the age of 18 and proof that the children may be removed from the jurisdiction of the court
•If the children will not accompany you to Canada, proof that you have fulfilled any obligation stated in custody agreements
•Proof of continuous full-time studies of all dependent children aged 22 or over, including:
•complete school records/transcripts since attaining age 22;
•letters from the schools indicating the number of hours of classes attended per day, and the number of days attended per week;
•proof of full financial support by parents since reaching age 22.

How can i prove my kid is staying with me and he will move with me wherever we go? I mean it's something everyone will know :).

yes i thhink ur write but we need to maintain the balance all the time, as vo can ask for bank statements may be after 4-5 months...

If the documents relating to proof of funds is the last you need before you make your initial submission, then don't dwell too long on it. Just stick with the requirements as given in the checklist. After all you do have a minimum of about 4 months from the time of application till a request is made to secure and retain the necessary funds in your bank account. Time is ticking, and do consider the implication of this extract from the Gazette of 26 June 2010 when deciding - In calculating the caps, applications will be considered in order of the date they are received. Applications received on the same date will be considered for processing having regard to routine office procedures. - which has been taken off this website http://canadagazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p1/2010/2010-06-26/html/notice-avis-eng.html#1.

Is it really that strange though? So many of us are now excluded from the process, especially those of us with IT/Telecoms skills, we are no longer eligible :(

Anybody here planning on trying the QSW program as an "alternative"?
