We have been stick on RBVO... :-[

I believe they are working on your file as well. Since they have touched Dec 2010 and Jan 2011 files already. Keep the hope alive.

Thanks,
satya.

Thank you Oly for your wishes and advice , I've already asked them about my status update many times , last one was before 5 days ,they replied with a generic message , the application is under review or background check...

do you think it is better to notify them about the expected due date of the baby ?

Ahmed

In that situation it's better to wait. Your file seem to be awaiting result of a check, it won't be long hopefully. Give it sometime, if they do not send medical request up till a month before EDD then inform them of the EDD and If you have Medical request before the baby is born just send CSE before you do the medicals to ask for what to do.

All the best

I think more than anything else, this is going to be the BREAKING NEWS ...(if this is true)

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2012/05/25/pol-weston-buffalo-consul.html

UNBELIEVABLE!
We need budget cuts, so let's close our most troubled VO, Buffalo, and pass the applications to a smaller consulate in NY.

Next, processing time at NY VO 5 years

I don't like the closure but I think NY is bigger than Buffalo, taken from the article...All of the remaining functions of the Buffalo mission will be taken over by the consulate in New York City, the second-largest Canadian diplomatic office in the U.S. next to the main embassy in Washington.

That wait is so long, it definately develops ones patience.

RBVO for 14 months Visa office London.I applied 23rd December 2010.

Dear Friends

I have few documents in local language (Malayalam), which are supportive for employment. As the document has to be converted to English, who can do the conversion? Notary , Gazetted officer ... please advise

Edwin

Hi Edwin,

The documents needs to be translated by a "CERTIFIED TRANSLATOR". Just a notary certifying the document will not work.

Hi Wolvy:

The size of the NYVO might be bigger. But you actually think there are 50 to 100 officers sitting there waiting for our applications? Whatever the size of the NYVO, whose officers up to now were handling other issues, now they have to handle all these applications as well.

I wasn't thinking that at all, but I am wondering what will happen with all the IOs at BVO. This is something the article does not mention, what will happen to the employees there. Will they be laid off, or transfered to other offices?

today new line was added to my eCAS
Medical results have been received

Folks I would like your input, looking at my time line would you recommend me sending e mail to NYVO regarding my PPR. Over two months since I did medicals I dont even see medicals received line on my e cas.
I would really appreciate any feedback.
Best Regards

Congrats Satya. I hope it does not take long for you from here.

I am still RBVO at BVO. No news at all. Sent them CSQ today, lets see what response do I get. As per CBC regarding BVO closure, probably I will hear somethinhg about file transfer. If I do, that will be good news, atleast someone will look at it. I had recieved my GCMS dated Apr 27, and it had 2 due dates, Apr 27, and May 7. Both the dates have gone by, still no news. The day, weeks, months have gone by, but nothing from BVO. It is so frustrating, and irritating. Such a situation that now I not sure when,a dn what will happen. It was supposed to eb simple process, but BVO made it so complex by not doing anything on the file.

Hi OMEE,

I ordered it as I am in Canada.
