I am just interpreting the ELIGIBILITY portion of your GCMS: The file has been Paper screened by VO.

Age: 10
Education: 25
Experience: 17
IELTS : 12
Spouse : 4

Total 68

VO has concerns about the OVERLAPPING of your EDUCATION and Experience gathered and he feels that it has apparently increased the "TIME FOR EDUCATION" .....this is a concern for VO and has therefore, FLAGGED, and send the file for further REVIEW.

This means that your file will have additional delays.

Are there some gaps in years on your "History" profile.

What you can do:

Since VO has concerns and you now know them through GCMS, you can send VO an email/FAX to clarify the ambiguity....dont repeat the evidence as already sent but just clear the concern by clearly writing in detail to him.

No requirement to mention that you had ordered GCMS.....as there is a lot of opinions and speculations regarding this issue and we dont have a VO's say on it yet. If this was my file, I would have politely mentioned that I had ordered GCMS.

Has your Security been done already? Also, there is a probability for an Interview call if the doubts are not resolved at an earlier date.

Hi Mitali,

nice interpretation..can u pls clarify my doubt.

my category is 4152.social worker.i have indian masters in social work in 2006 and relevant experience in same field.i have applied in april 2011 and got first file no in may 2011 and second in august 2011.in process from nov 15th 2011.till today no medicals.i have sent 2 cse .first in dec 12th.they replied end of december that further review is required in my application.again i sent cse in march 15th 2012.they replied that it is still under review with an officer and will get back to you.

my doubt follws:

even after completing course in 2006,i started working in 2007.i worked till 2009 august.then i got a student permit in sweden and i went there.but after 8 months,i came back to india because of some medical emergencies for my father.i did not went back to sweden after this event,i again joined back with the same organisation from june 2010 onwards to till date.in my history i have mentiond all the details.

apart from this,i have mentioned the same details and resons for coming back everything in my reference letter.my employer helped me to mention the same in letter.employer shwan the reason as i went on leave to sweden and came back because of medical emergency and joined back everything..

my doubt is that is this is reason for getting my file delay?????????

when i calculated,i have enough points and all..

pls tell me....what will be reason?

There is no question that your case will be delayed that normal cases because of the obvious issue of student visa+stay of 8 months.

My first query to you would be whether you have submitted the swedish PCC?

You should not worry about the points, you are placed much higher that the required points.

The only delay in your case is in Security/Admissibility check.

Hello everyone,

Extremely delighted to inform that we received our stamped PPs today around noon... (Stamped on 2 April and valid till 9 Feb 2013)... Exactly 18 months and 6 days... And the wait is finally over!!! Tough to word my happiness most appropriately, but I am sure everyone can themselves imagine my joy :) :) :)

'Thank you very very very much' - is the least I can say to every super member and friend here... Needless to say this journey would have been even tougher if I didn't have you all... Thanks is simply an under-statement... I feel much much more for every one of you, for all the guidance, the clarifications, the support, the encouragement, the smiles - everything right when I needed the most :) :) :)

So hereon one journey ends, just for another to begin ;D

Best wishes for every single friend here... specially those that are desperately waiting for movements... I sincerely pray your wait just shortens!!

Love,

BhaktiUjjwal

Many many congratulation
and best luck for your new life in canada

If you have provided proper paperwork to support your file then I really dont see any reason for concern. You may want to apply for GCMS as almost 4.5 months has elapsed.

I agree with Amar's concern regarding the PCC of Sweden. I am sure yoou have provided it already.

I had read somewhere that sometimes files gets delayed if the photocopy of the documents send are not clear enough.....

Hi all
I don't know if this is repeated question or not but
Is it allowed to change destination or Port of Entry [POE] rather than the reported in the application? Ontario to British Colombia for example?
Need to inform CIO or VO?
Thanks

Yes, you can change your POE, except to Quebec and you dont need to inform VO.

Wish you all the best..... :)

Hi Vicky:

This is a terrible story and makes me sad to hear it, I hope everything works out for you in the end. Having said that, and in all honesty, don't you think limiting your search opportunity to 2 months in Edmonton and 2 months in Toronto to find a job is too much to ask?

I have lived in the US for 30 years and can tell you that right now it will take anywhere from 6 months to a year to find a job, and that is for Americans with experience. What type of networking can one do in two months in one city? The only way to get a job in such a short period of time is if you are in a line of work that is in GREAT demand with no one readily available to fill it.

Please don't get me wrong, for I think I will certainly go through a very difficult time if and when I am granted a visa. But one needs to recognize that these are terrible times for finding employment all over North America. One needs to factor in savings for at least one or two years until they can become self-sufficient. People who have been successful have taken Canadian courses in their field upon arrival to get some Canadian education and licensing under their belt. Others have worked in non-profit organizations and charities for free to meet people. Proper networking is essential, expensive, and time consuming.

Unfortunately though, you are right, and not all who follow the strategies above have ended up being successful. But I think the most important thing for us moving to Canada is to have enough reserves to last through the first couple of years, because only the very lucky few end up with a job immediately.

I hope that you don't give up on your dream Vicky, if your reserve funds have dried up, maybe you can apply for jobs from your home country. With perseverance, I am certain something good will happen in the end. Good luck to you and please don't give up.

Cam
Cam1234 +1 for u for the very beautiful words i am totally agree with you

Dear Shahzad,
It completely depends on your visa office. I sent my Docs in Feb 2011, and received file number in March 2011, and I am still in RBVO !
