Hello friends
My file is in Buffalo VO and, tired of the long wait, I requested
GCMS notes on Feb 15 and got them via email today on mar. 16.

During summer I was asked to submit a fingerprint check from RCMP
which i did.

Now I see some sign of activity on my GCMS notes. They
indicate only one change. on Feb. 13, 2012
the task "Security screening" has been assigned by someone to
another person. Does anyone know how long such a process
might take? I'm taking this as a positive sign.

Hi all,Is there any posting on the tax in Canada.Just want to familiarize with things before going to Canada.Is is complicated like India or simple?

P.S.: I dont know about entire canada. This applies to Ontario...

Individual Tax:
It is simple. You have to file taxes before End of April. Once you finish 2 financial years, you are eligible to buy RRSP (Registered Retirement Savings Plan).. some thing like PF in India I believe. End of Feb is the deadline for RRSP. Thats it..

Business Tax:
You will have to consult an accountant.
