Well about writing PO Box number, on second thoughts I don't think it matters... I was advised not to write so that courier company gives me a proof of delivery... so I did not write... But eventually we discovered that they (bluedart) will give no proof of delivery and we just have to track the consignment online to have "proof"... So I don't think that makes any difference... You anyway only get to know that it was delivered to a "STAMP" ;D

No news from my side as yet... No DD encashment and no medical line as yet... I am hoping I have either of the two or both by this weeks end or latest beginning of next week... Let's see!!!

SImilar to you, I send it yesterday at 6:30 PM and it reaches at 10:00 AM today.... I got an email of that delivery...

But as you said with STAMP mentioning on it....

When yesterday did you send? It should have reached today morning... you can track it online na... Did you do that? We had sent through Bluedart at 5 pm and it reached 12 noon next day...

I agree with you on this... Not all, but most people, disappear once their destinations are reached / goal achieved... And that's sad and unfortunate!!!

But anyway, that means people like you and me have to keep this in mind... Even if we reach our final goal... That there are friends who supported us, there are friends who need us... The way so many experienced friends helped us, we too are obliged to be with people!!

Nevertheless, we should also be grateful to friends like canadestin, Mitali, nokiadesire, arun and so many others... who haven't forgotten us and are still active here, guiding people like us ;D Thanks so much to them!!

Settling down in a new country is not very easy. You will find out soon enough as you have to deal with housing, banking, schooling, transportation, healthcare, finding work, networking, making ends meet, etc.

Give those who have succeeded a break. I'm sure they are all going through reality checks and trying to deal with more important issues.

As useful and cordial as these fora are, we are all really strangers to one another. That can't be more important than our families.

I'm sure once they come up to speed with life in Canada, they will be back to help those on this forum.

In the mean time, there is more than enough information from previous discussions to help any new applicant. They just need to take time and make the effort to find them.
