Hi Buffalo friends;

My CEC applicationstatus today changed to In Process and they asked for more documents.

My FSW application is still RBVO.

Mari

Thats great !! Congrats ! when did you file your CEC application? Just wanted to know how much time it took from filing the app to In process? Also, when was your FSW application filed? So i guess you can file for CEC without withdrawing the FSW app?

I am so frustrated with Buffalo's processing speed...i see people from october 2010 are yet to get medicals...i have filed in may 2011...so cant imagine my wait time...willl be eligible for filing under CEC in a couple of months..so am thinking of sending a CEC application if i dont hear from Buffalo by May - which is very likely :(

Why oh Why is Buffalo so damn slowwwwww ?!

Thank u all for the wishes.. i would say i have been lucky to get a job so quickly
i used moster.ca,workopolis and dice and applied regularly for around 3 weeks and
was able to get an offer. i felt that companies value US experience a lot and like people
with North American work culture experience.
let me know if u have any specific queries and i will be glad to help

I have submitted our PP to PPO for PCC stamping.... just wanna ask you, you also did the same thing?? if you submit your PP by when you get PCC ?? and how? did you submit all the documents at one GO to NDVO or as and when it got ready??
When did you send yoru PP to NDVO?? and when did they send back to you with stamping??
Pl reply buddy....

Hey Avsneh,

You case on PCC is similar to AR.SID (same PPO as yours), I think you can contact her

Thanks beast for the explaination :D ..but no explaination seems to justify their processing speed...most other VOs would process the apps in 6-12 months...why should buffalo be any different? i fail to understand....they dont seem to have worked on any files after sept 2010..its so unfair !

on a serious note would appreciate if you could help me with a few Qs

1. is it possible to request buffalo to transfer file to some other VO...when ecase shows RBVO?

2. can i file CEC without withdwaing the FSW app?

3. I am yet to search the forums...but would yoou know the CEC app turnaround time offhand?

Thanks for your help !

No, files would only be transferred for the integrity of the program if the VO determines it is necessary per the operating handbook

2. can i file CEC without withdwaing the FSW app?

Yes you may. The VO will tell you when they have made a decision on your FSWO or CEC and ask you to withdraw the pending application

3. I am yet to search the forums...but would yoou know the CEC app turnaround time offhand?

I am not very familiar, but from what I have read 6months or less

Thanks for your help !

Hi yosemite,

I applied on Sep 2010 for FSW and received file number on Jan 05, 2011. After that I haven't heard anything from Buffalo.
Then I decided to apply for CEC. Buffalo received my file on Oct 17,2011 and sent it to Ottawa. Ottawa started processing my application on Jan 18, 2012 send my medical on Jan 20, 2012 and asked for more documents on Jan 23, 2012.
I hope it helps. If you need any more information please let me know.

Mari
