So happy that FINALLY something is happening. Come on Buffalo, lets get it done!

As I sidenote, I sent Buffalo an email asking what was happening, the first one back in October. They didn't reply for a month, so I sent them another one, this time threatening to file an official complaint if they didn't respond (in big red text). That one got them to reply and may be the reason the ball is rolling on my application again.

Thanks Cam, I read your other post about giving up, I felt the same way but this shows there is always hope! Thanks for the kind words from everyone else too.

I hope so! I would love to see all the Buffalo people on here starting to make big steps towards PR, it's been way too long. But yeah I recommend sending an email, it won't hurt though I'm sure they are overwealmed with emails right now!

May I ask you when they have started processing of your file? Can you see this once you click on "In Process"?

My information is available in spreadsheet. The reason I deleted the info from my profile is that I have applied for CEC too. I don't want it to be confusing once I post in CEC topic

Application filed = 13 Sep 2010
received file number from Sydney = 5 Jan 2011
status changed to RBVO = 25 March 2011

After that I never heard anything from Buffalo :-\ :-X :'(

I know, I was thinking the same Rod. But then again, CanadaJimmy is already in Canada and has a good job, so what can they do to him besides give him his visa? If any of us dares to threaten, it would be Bye Bye

For the record, I am not giving up on my PR application, I was just drained this morning. It is one thing to have to wait for a looooong time, but when they get your email and home address wrong and don't correct it after a gazillion times you contact them... well one gets kind of bent out of shape :-\ But low and behold, CanadaJimmy's news has recharged my batteries

hey cam1234... hold on.. i know its very frustrating... i had my address changed by emailing/sending cse/sending fax/
sending a mail to Buffalo. None of this worked .Till now they have my address wrong

whenever i sent my MR, my old pcc, my new pcc, my rprf, my PP i wrote a request to change my address by they still didnt. so u see what happened to me on this address thing.. i would say keep trying to get it corrected .. now that its more important as they have it wrong now(its isnt the old address now)...especiall when MR comes by snail mail and PPR by email

Hey!! I wanna show some light to you.

I had the same challenge with address change. I sent in multiple emails (1 per week) until the new address got reflected into my system. One fine day, I gotta reply for one of my emails saying that my address is updated already (which means they wont acknowledge about address change).

And.. Most pathetic situation is..

For buffalo applicants, E-CAS is not the system. Here is the email that I received from them.

Our records indicated your mailing address is exactly as you have it listed below, <<latest Address>>

e-Cas is for applications processing within Canada only.

Immigration cases being processed in Visa offices outside Canada use a system different from that used to process similar applications in Canada. As a result, the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) does not reflect the status of cases being processed in Buffalo.

Do not use the CIC e-Cas on-line change of address system. Your new address will not be downloaded to your file in Buffalo.

Below is not my address but here what they have done. I sent them:

and they have written on ECAS:

2390 45321
First Street
Reston, VA 20142

I don't know if they have just written it like this in ECAS or they have made a mistake everywhere. My email is the best, instead of @yahoo.com, its @yaho.com

I am hoping they have written my address on Ecas incorrectly and have the correct one in my file. I was thinking of contacting them once again if I ever go in process... I have written to them too many times and don't want to get them angry now... Any advice would be welcome.
