Applications after 26/6 in any NOC CONNECT HERE TO GET THE STATUS

Hello guys,
After 9 loooong months my ECAS status has finally changed to RBVO. I see this as a small victory, at least there is some activity. I really hope things start to move quickly for me now. Congratulations to everyone who has been successful in this immigration process!!! MUAH!!!

That means "2 weeks from PP delivered date" for status to change to DM and say another one week to receive the PP with Visa.... Hmmmmm.

Accordingly ,,,, my PP and meds were delivered on 17 Nov,, so tentatively first week of Dec for DM and PP received by 15th Dec....

I hope to celebrate Christmas 10 days in advance....

Hehehe I know I am being toooo Optimistic

Its case to case differ. May you receive Decision in this month only.

It depends on 2 factors,,,
1) Complexity of your application and
2) Which Visa Office handles your application..

Cases have been finalized and Visa issued in six months from date of application and some are pending since last 12 months....

Summing it up ,, Canadian Cabinet Minister Tim Uppal says " Post June 2012 No more applications for PR would be taken for 2 years. This is being done to exhaust the already pending applications"

"Canadian Government puts ban on submission of PR applications for next two years. This is being done to fasten the processing of pending applications. Ban from submitting PR applications would be lifted only after pending lot is cleared. This information was shared by Tim Uppal with Bhaskar representatives when he visited Golden Temple in Amritsar. He also shared that Canadian Government has planned to start the Super Visa for Parents and Grandparents as per the same strategy so that ban on PR applications should not create distance between families."

This is based on article published in Dainik Bhaskar dated 19th November 2011.

Rod, both of us have asked for caips notes... which we are waiting for any minute. That could be why addresses disappeared. Now we have the good fortune of getting our caips and finding out they have done nothing to our applications... :'(

I applied for CAIPS/GCSM some weeks back and got back the 37 page document this PM. Just a few things worthy of note and clarifications:

ASSESSMENT
Eligibility: In progress
Security: Not started
HIRV:
Criminality: In Progress
Org Crime:
Medical: Not started
Misrepresentation:
Other Req:
Final:

Also under Criminality, it stated In Progress for my spouse and Not Started for me (I am the principal applicant)

Under our paper file records: It states that "Processing of this case has been taken over by **DRS** (File with DRS pending screening review)

Does anyone know what DRS means and what does this mean for our application processing?
