I have some update on my file. It is weird update though. Long story. sorry about that.

I am on work permit here and I have a representative from my employer who applied for WP renewal recently(september 16th). I applied for PR by myself(Dec 24th 2010) and I received a letter from CIC about confirmation. I logged online and checked the status and here is how it was earlier.

We received your application for permanent residence on December 24, 2010. We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 9, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us..

Recently, I have a change in address and at the same time, my employer representative has filed my work permit renewal. Since I have a change in address, I emailed my new address to CIC. Today, I have a status change and the change is:

We received your application for permanent residence on December 24, 2010. We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 9, 2011 to <<MY EMPLOYER REPRESENTATIVE ADDRESS>>. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, contact us.

WP: has to go to representative office.
PR: has to go to my new home address.

CIC messed up addresses for my WP with PR application. I just dont know what should I do now. Please advise.

What you need to do is obvious, and they have asked you to do it, that is - CONTACT THEM. It says so on what you posted, so go ahead and contact them!!

Thanks for the reply dude. When I click on the link "contact us", I get the call center number and when I speak to them, they say that the file is with Buffalo VO and they dont have access to the file.

To contact Buffalo VO, email is the only mode of communication where their response sucks on emails. Any think else possible???

bfd is bring forward date..its the initial date cio and embassy gives you for looking up ur file..for more on that..see post of qorax..he has explained it very well....

You might want to try sending them the correct addresses for each application in a detailed explanation by FAX, in addition to the email.

again i need to ask you that my current e-cas satus is in-process frm last 31st oct and details show""Your application was reviewed and we started processing on October 31, 2011."

it was updated 2 time on 11 nov 2011 but nothing is changed in e-cas status is same inside details are same.

but would like to add here that i am going india for 2 mnths on nov 22 i have already informed to sydney vo(on 6th nov) and they replied as bellow "Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank for this info. Your file will be under review by an officer and we will contact you in due time taking into account your absence from Australia.
