my rprf reached 19 oct whereas pcc's reached 25 oct
i too am eagerly waiting for PPR..

aso how could you have sent the medicals yourself?.. sorry didnt understand ur point

My RPRF reached Buffalo in first week of August. They haven't asked for my spouse's RPRF yet. PCCs were delivered Oct. 27th.
What I meant was that instead of this whole circus of mailing forms and documents around the world, it would be better if it was done electronically. Sorry, I'm just pissed off cuz the waiting seems to go on and on.....without any end in sight!

New processing times are here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp

Buffalo: changed from 21 months to 24 months
London: 27 months

still nothing for post June 2010

If i knew this new PhD rule before, instead of waiting Buffalo reply I would have taken admission in PhD :)

Sorry, I don't understand the correlation :) But, I know for a fact that you will be able to obtain your PhD degree before you can get these visa offices to respond positively!

As I understand the situation..... I think it is easier to get admission for Ph.D or other Graduate studies if one can convince the VO that he/she would return to homecountry after the specified time period on the Student permit....in this way one can atleast gain entry in Canada. And later on apply for PR.....Dual Intent works perfectly in these cases. Once you apply for PR with Buffalo/London as VO (slow VO's >:() it really does not matter how long you have to wait and worry unnecessarily. Well, it does matter but not as much as one would do living outside Canada. :)

But if one has a PR application in PROCESS and then apply for Ph.D/Graduate study then apparently it is obvious that the INTENTION Of the applicant is to become a RESIDENT of Canada and NOT return to homecountry. In such situation VO generally rejects the application of Student permit even though Canada allows DUAL INTENT.

Complicated eh !!! ;D

to all the NDVO applicants:

RPRF fee changed? please revert the new fee...

Understood, ehh!!! :) ;) Forget dual intent, would be glad if we r allowed to enter with any intent :)

Dear Qorax

On getting In Process, London VO had asked for updated documents (updated forms etc) which I send in August 2011, but they did not ask for updated PCC. What does this imply ?? Does it mean my back grounds check are expected to take long time ??

I strongly recommend you to apply for Phd or Masters, because if you think that you can find a job without being graduated from a Canadian university, you are not right, because most job positions are for new-grad students from Canadian universities, unless you have a really really good networking! This is Canada ! I am already in Canada and I have been trying to find a job for almost a year and no chance, finally I gave up and I am studying now. :)
