Congratulations Jason......you are almost there. :)

oh no.......in that case I misunderstood your question. If you applied under FSW1 category you will have to complete the landing formalities as required by FSW1......that is produce POF evidence.

Thanks Jason...

Hi Mitali. I am too confused now. Though my status is In process with RBVO inside. I sent the RPRF along with the documents before 2nd AOR. I received a confirmation of the payment from NDVO. They sent me a receipt for the same in separate mail. Is it a good sign that they have sent me the receipt for RPRF. Though the RBVO status is adamant and doesnt wants to change. Please suggest my friends.

Mitali,

I think Canadahopes' main question is whether a job offer letter would exempt him/her from the proof of funds requirement at the time of landing. I think it may not work (though I'm not sure) coz the issued visa is on FSW1 basis and not FSW2.

Thanks
I was looking for Mitali's post in response to this but couldn't find it. Anyway, I enquired about this same issue and this is what Qorax had to say:
1. Our COPR indicates the category of application. There's a field called, "IMMCAT", which is endorsed with codes.
2. If u have an AEO [only HRSDC approved ones r permitted] - u must info your VO prior to flying.
3. This info is imdtly fed into the GCMS [though it could take around few weeks].
4. Thus, even if u have already got the PRVs & COPR, given 4-5 weeks of Adv. Info - u yet could avoid the POF.
5. Else, it'd be unto the BSO @ the POE to accept it or not.
6. U must carry a printout of the letter sent to your VO informing the AEO.

Qorax

Hope it sheds some light on the issue.....Mandie

Mandie,

Thanks for the info. Canadahopes might find it useful.

Qorax is the man !!!

My response in the previous page Mandie..... :)

If a FSW1 applicant converts to FSW2 before the formalities are completed then he has to inform VO. And frankly I do not have any idea as to how long it might take to process and check the authenticity of AEO....because if other AEO applicants are having to wait for over a year and more then why should this case of having an approved AEO almost at the end of processing a FSW1 application be treated differently.....it should go through all the wait times of a normal AEO application.

I dont know how just informing the VO and having the info fed in GCMS and getting COPR in advance help in cutting short the processing time. It is obvious that VO now has new information on the AEO aspect and will need time to investigate. The applicant could avoid the POF as and when his AEO has been investigated.

Yes, only AEO will be approved, if a situation like this arises. LMO approved jobs will automatically be redundant.

I am not an expert...... just going by logic here....I may be wrong or have not educated myself enough on this subject :(

Hi Mitali,

I am confused after reading the above few posts.

For one, is it required to carry POF when you are moving to Canada?

Second, is it the Bank Statement or the proof of funds you are carrying?

Actually, I have not understood what exactly is being discussed here. Can you throw some light so that the confusion is cleared.

Thanks in advance.

So you are a pre-June 2010 applicant and send the RPRF fees before being asked for it (yes that option available then).

Have you done your Meds yet? Encashment of RPRF is the confirmation (almost) of everything is okay with your file.

Hi Kittu,

This is with reference to Canadahopes query.

We are discussing if an AEO approval comes in at a latter stage for a FSW1 applicant (COPR mailed stage)...is he exempt from showing POF without his application being subjected to the usual timeline for a normal AEO applicant.

1. If he gets a job offer, does he have to show POF at POE?
2. He has not mentioned if the job offer is AEO or LMO approved job offer....while his initial application is in process. In such cases LMO approved jobs will not be considered. He wanted to know if LMO approved jobs are eligible. Qorax's response has steered this query towards AEO jobs.
3. He has not mentioned if he is a FSW1 applicant.

Assuming, he had applied as FSW1 then the formalities of landing should be done as required for FSW1 applicants, IMO. Now , what happens if he has received an AEO in middle of processing of his FSW1 application.....obviously he has to inform VO....and then his application will be treated as FSW2 and will include additional time to complete the final process. He lands as AEO holding PR and does not show POF.

Now, if the AEO comes in at a latter stage ...almost when the COPR has been issued. According to Qorax, POF can be avoided at this stage (COPR issued), if VO is informed PRIOR TO FLYING, applicant has a letter issued by VO confirming the AEO, and the information should be at least 4-5 weeks in advance information.

My question is how is that possible.....AEO gets approved in 4-5 weeks? while the regular AEO applicants wait for over a year.

Your query is totally different than what is being discussed.

You need to show POF...ppl generally bring DD. Bank statements are also shown as POF but may be questioned.

Hi, London VO sends out the medical requests by regular mail not by courier. I'm also unaware of anyone who has received medical requests from London via email. I would suggest that you send an inquiry to re-london-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca and ask them to resend it or at least to inform them that you haven't received it yet.

Another thing, do you live in the UK or outside? If outside then please note that there may be a delay due to the postal services. My MR was issued on 18th of May and they got to me in Dubai on the 29th of May. Either way, a month seems like quite a long time. All the best!

Dear Friends,

Wish you all a very very happy Diwali and New Year. I wish all ur dream come true with this new year.
