My PPR+RPRF+PCC reached CHC today. MR was dispatched on Oct. 7th.
The deadline for both was Oct. 16th.

Killing game begins !!! No plans of checking ECAS till the end of Oct. Let's see.

Just wondering about the note these CIC sent me about the affidavit to be submitted if birth certificate not obtainable. It says please include the name of client date of birth gor the client does that mean DOB for who is writing the affidavit like in my case my parents or the person who is notarizing it?
Please other forum members also share ur views. i am planning to resubmit my application this week.

String11.....dont loose this opportunity. CIC is getting stricter day by day and the list of NOCs is likely to change (addition and exclusion). Dont worry about the calculation for timeline for your application to reach CIC and make it within the cap. Dont wait for next year.

Just concentrate on preparing a flawless application this time and shoot it to CIC ASAP.....you can worry about the cap later on....at this point of time you have no choice.

The marathon is almost over!

Now, I have an issue with the date that was set as the limit. I need some help here.

Do you guys think that it's possible to enter Canada before X and then get back to Portugal in, say, 2 months, and then go back to Canada? Do you think that this will pose any kind of problem to immigration? The issue is that I will need to present my Master's dissertation in September 2012.

I think you should wait until the last days of deadline then send them your old PCC and explanation letter. However, they will not issue PPR until they receive your new PCC. My PCC reached Buffalo 3 days after deadline. They still accepted it. My medical line appeared on Ecas end of August, and 4 weeks later I still had not received PPR. Until my new FBI reached them, 10 days later they sent PPR to me.
Just my suggestion.

You should not worry. Just write the explanation letter and send the old PCC (but wait until the end/deadline). There are many who must be going through this. So they will understand it.
