It took me just under a month to receive it via e-mail (thanks to some valiant efforts by my requester).
Read the next post for details.

Thank you very much JasonBourne! :) +1 from my side! One more thing, should I select GCMS or CAIPS? Which one's better understandable with better details?

Thanks again!

All the best Shalom.. I really feel sorry for you :(

Both are equally understandable...you could opt for both...they would send that is available to them.

Thank you very much.
I have tried contacting the hospital where the X-ray was done but nobody picks my call
I hope good news comes from them tomorrow or I will personally go to the hospital and get a copy of the X-ray.
I am not happy about these losses.
I think the problem is London VO. If the application I hand-delivered could get lost, then anything can get lost within their office.

I pray nobody goes through this hurdle again.
Best wishes to everyone.

Your application is approved and it's just matter of few days for u to get the Visa.Inshallah.

This delay i think is from Almighty....i am sure there is something good for you in this delay.

======BREAKING NEWS FROM LONDON VO.========

Wife's X-ray is not found!!!!!!!

In July, London VO lost my baby's applicationl and I have to resend another set of application to them. They later found it and sent the bank draft to me about 2 weeks ago.
I got an email from them today:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please be advised that we have checked with our medical section and they have confirmed that the tracking number you have provided also contains the medical for the new baby and not the xray for your spouse. Could you please confirm that information with your Designated Medical Practitioner and give us the tracking number for your spouse's xray?

Sincerely,
XXX
Program Assistant
Immigration Section

I have just called the clinic and I was told to call back as the person in charge is in a meeting.

Sorry to hear that Shalom....Hope they find the x-ray soon...

Requested CAIPS today. Will share upon receipt

Rod

Thanks a bunch Mitali! But won't they ask for extra charges if I mention both GCMS and CAIPS?

There's also a topic about this on a dutch forum I'm posting on, but knowing no one can read dutch I wil try to translate what I've read...

To open an account WITH PR try this link:http://www.rbc.com/canada/banking-packages/index.html

You can also open an account without PR, but you have to open it in person in Canada.
(That's what would like to do in my 2 week vacation over there)
I know you must have enough money to put into the account to get a CC.( I don't know the exact ammount)
You need that CC to build up your credit history to get a morgage or loan.
Not every bank will give you a CC, I know from other people that TD bank, CIBC, Capital One or Scotia Bank are willing to give non immigrants a CC.
It all depends on you credit history in your home country and if you can try to get a translated letter of recommendation from your bank you'll be fine...

This is what I read on a dutch forum, so please don't mind me if it will be different for other countries!

Kind regards,
Louise!

Be advisedthat when we went to Canada three years ago, we needed TWO pieces of "Canadian" ID to open an account (it was with CIBC) Since I only had my passport back then, I couldn't open an account. It wasn't until I got an Ontario driver's license (but a fishing license or UK passport or PR Visa would also be good) that I could open an account. So as long as you have the PR visa, there is no problem but be sure to bring the second valid photo ID (you should be able to find a complete list of "acceptable" ID's online)
Cheers

I wonder what kind of people are employed at London VO.

They seem to be very complacent about their job.

They need to employ some immigrants.
