@Cam and Mayank: I'm moving to Vancouver but I'm not sure about the dates as yet. I was initially planning to land October end- beginning of November but the delay from London threw that out the window. I'm now thinking about whether I should spend Christmas here or in Canada. I have the PEBC evaluating exams booked for the 11th and 12th of January 2012 so I'll certainly be landing before that.
I'll make sure to let you guys know once I decide....All the best to everyone waiting for good news!!!

Well Vipan, a Canada Visa PR is a previlege not a right. Several people who have been asking questions without any reason get a standard reply saying - we are processing and you will hear in due course without any time frame or commitment. That doesnt help at all. It will create few hundred enquiries at NDVO and they will be busy replying to queries and not proceesing your apps.

Just called FBI today. They said that they will send out my certificate at the end of this week. It will take me full 9 weeks to get FBI certificate. Avi, you should call them too.avi_15 said:

I live in Canada (on workpermit) ..it's almost 2 and half year since i made my last visit to India...I send my passport on August 1st week and i am waiting ..I want to visit my mom and family after i get the PR Card...
First time i applied in 2010 April ...I used the credit card as payment method..and my bank denied the payment , (BMO told that , due to an error from their side and they paid me 100 CAD as compensation ) ...CIC returned back my application on July , by that time new rule came , I had to take IELTS ,then reapplied again .. got medical and passport request in July 2001... now my application is stuck in the queue ...

oh my.. 9 weeks ....anyways you are getting it finally. my cc was charged a week ago and they told it will take upto 8 weeks for the processing to complete. Lets hope for the best. i have 90 days to send the PCC to buffalo i.e 25 Oct.
