Also, I have completed one year today since the day my application was filed. I am not sure whether to celebrate the day or wonder if the process could have been completed well within a year.

The whole picture looks bleak indeed.

It seems to me that all visa offices are dormant now. I wonder what is causing it... any ideas/ thoughts?

Demascus and Warsaw VOs seem to be the only active ones right now according to our tracker. We had one or two MD requests out of NDVO this month and one from London... everything else is dead.

I was hoping the processing would accelerate for us post June 2010 applicants now, before the post June 2011 applicants become priority... but everything has come to a dead stop.

What in the world are they doing? I checked around on other boards and Pre June 2010 applicants have been told no further processing for them will take place this year, they are hoping for 2012! Just who is getting visas then I wonder?

Frustrated,
Cam

Cam,

I doubt they will give priority to post june 2011 applicants given that only caps changed. Also since there is no mention of post June 2011 applicants in CIC processing times (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp) Since june 2010 they added the line that there is not sufficient data.

Just my thoughts.

I hear you Rod, and think you may be right... Just hope activity picks up for all VOs soon... Wonder what causes the spurt in activity, followed by dormant periods, at the VOs?

I have no idea. For a whileI thought it might have to do with the fiscal year, but I proved myself wrong when I googled and saw the fiscal year in canada runs till March.

Hi Sonir/Nazafarin/Rayon/Spicysank,

I too agree that NDVO has become dormant for a while ;), But today it has sent me my 2nd AOR. It means it is taking its own time while it responds to various FSW Applicants. Hope soon it will be yours turn. Best of Luck :)

Ganesh

Hi thanks for your quick reply

Well the timeline on hindsight may look deceiving as employer submitted AEO to HRSDC for approval in October 2010 and took seven months to approve (hence June 2011) but we had all our docs ready to send as soon as it came through..but it has been pretty swift since then...maybe this is where the wait will start....
For updated info only NOC applied for is NOC 7217

boddy

Yes, I know!!!
We had to wait for a very long time too to get our AEO approval!
Our employer applied in april and we got the approval in december.....we got our docs ready so with high speed to CIO!!!
So, we have been waiting for over 1,5 year now to get our visa...hopefully...
Good luck and take care!

Kind regards,
Louise!
