Please find below the Mail i Recieved from New Delhi VO in response to my query on PCC

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi...............................

Dear all

I hope you have noticed the Highlighted portion in the post

The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your immigrant / visa application.

Please correct me if i am reading between the lines, it says befor you submit your application,

This is my query

My Visa Application reached CIO on 7th of Oct 2010, hence can the Issue date of PCC be any time after 7th July 2010?
It is completely ok if your PCC has been issued on or after 7th July,2010---- Applicable if u already have submitted your PCC to CIO.
However, if u haven't submitted PCC to CIO then VO will ask for PCC. Please note that while sending your PCC to VO, it's issuing date must not exceed 3 months.

Dear sunny,

A engineer will get only 20 points. I have proof of it. My friends wife is an engineer. She files for canada immigraton and when her file was sent back due to IELTS not complete her points of education was 20 only. so i am sure tat an engineer will get only 20 points
Thanks

I agree, Irrelevant of how many years of study one has, if it's just bachelors, it's 20 points. For example, ALL Architects, Engineers, Doctors without masters will get 20 points and with Masters may be 22 or 25 according to their years of study.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Dear Anil
I filled and sent the application on 22 nov 2010, Receipt date at CIO 30 Nov 2010 by Mr. M.Krszwda (I will always remember this name as a good sign if I get the AOR soon ...)
Fee payment through BD , Cann't tell if it's encashed
PCC sent with application but older than 3 months
Ielts sent with application 7.5 band

I have one enquiry : without knowing that the BD is encashed [My bank says they cann't tell ], if it passed almost one month without returning the application or asking for more documents, Does it mean that i'm on the green side??

Personally I think CIO will be open for business as usual next week at least Weds, Thurs and Friday. Maybe also Tuesday is they had Friday and Monday as their Christmas day breaks.

However, they may be on a reduced stuff since some CIO officers will probably have taken the week off from their own annual holidays.

So I think we will see some PERs, but at a reduced rate. Remember we have 3rd and 4th September where nobody from our list had applications received on those days, which may explain the silence in the last few days of last week.

Wayne.

I work here in Toronto, mostly all emoplyee will return on job during the first week of January (it is common in both Government and Private setup), so my friend PERs will start coming from the first week of January and maintain the average from the second week.

Hello everyone,

I am new in this forum. These are my application details:
App received 25th Oct and CC charged 1st Nov. NOC: 1122, VO: London

However, I have some concerns and I want you all to help me out.
These are my concerns:
(1). I only sent one month savings account statement with initial application to CIO. That was all I have as at then. That was when I was able to raise the required proof of fund (POF). I now have additional 3 months statement after the application.
(2). I did not send my wife's transcript because it was taking too long to get from the university. The transcript is still not out even now. I only included statement of her degree result. She studied in Nigeria. I also studied in Nigeria but I did my Masters degree in the UK. However, I still scored over 67 points without her degree.
(3) My wife is expecting around june/july 2011. At the moment we are a family of four (Wife, 2 children & myself) Do I need to provide proof of funds for 4 people or to include funds to cover the unborn child? In otherwords, which POF do I need to show - for 4 people or 5 people? Also, will pregnancy delay processing of my application?

Please can somebody help explain how the above factors may impact my application.

Thank you.
Favour

Hi FAV,

For your query,

1. the POF you have shown is liquid , so it can flow in or out any time anywhere, as my friends and relatives have shown their POF during the immigration file was around 1-2 months old and they have got PR but keep in mind that after PER comes, maintain minimum balance in your account, possible that they can ask you a second POF during issuing the visa.

2. I guess you are the principal applicant, in that case your wife's study transcript is not that much mandatory as per my experience and others in my family who got PR. So dont worry about it but have you put her marksheet with your application?

3. Yes, there would not a big issue regarding the new member in your family (Congrats in advance), after PER comes, they will ask you about PCC or Medical or both, during that period you can inform your VO about the new member, they will send you a new request for medical for the new member, make sure that your baby would have passport first, before informing the VO. Send Birth Certificate, Passport of the baby and be a safer side a certificate from the hospital or the doctor attended your wife. You have to show the extra members' POF during this process.

One of my friend got Medical in May 2006, at that time his wife was pregnant, the medical report mentioned that the dependent applicant is pregnant (6 months' pregnancy) and the VO did not respond to my friend's application for about three months after medical and other required documents submitted, when he sent the Passport, Birth Certificate of the new born child and Letter from the Hospital where the child was born, they have finished all the process and asked him to send all passport for Visa stemping. It is simply because if your child born in Canada it is their liability and if child born outside Canada it is parents' liability.....don't worry my friend, we will organise party next Christmas at Dundas Square Downtown Toronto.

you can check the total amount as per the family member on : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp#tphp%20idtphp

Good luck brother.

Boxing Day is not a statutory holiday anywhere in Canada except Ontario, so CIO should be back at work tomorrow, Tuesday 28th December.
Watching for our PER - wenstumped and Rina also stand by your beds!!! :D

Funny thing :) We don't have such a holiday or even something familiar and I was thinking that Boxing day stands for Box as a sport. I was thinking maybe Canadians are so sport lovers that even have one day dedicated to box and celebrate it :)

In Canada, Boxing Day is listed in the Canada Labour Code as an optional holiday. Only the province of Ontario has made it a statutory holiday where all workers receive time off with pay.

In Canada Boxing Day is primarily known as a shopping holiday, it is a time where shops have sales, often with dramatic price decreases. For many merchants, Boxing Day has become the day of the year with the greatest revenue.

May be CIO, NS work on and send PERs

That email address is not quite correct. I am looking at the exact email address of the PER sent to us, and it is:
FSW-Centralized_Intake-Office @ cic.gc.ca (without the spaces)

Note the underscore instead of hyphen between "Centralized" and "Intake".
