Entering or exiting a passport by post is illegal, but it can be done via the embassy which is in contract with TNT DHL or Aramex. It gets passport from and delivers it when ready to the mentioned couriers.

Very true. That is the case i am wondering about. In our situation, we are in Ireland and posting to London to get the visa stamped (when they ask us to do the same) will be technically illegal as we cannot send our passport outside the country that one is currently residing. People living in UK will be another case, they should actually send the visa to the Canadian embassy in Dublin and get them to affix it on the pasport here. I dont think it works like that though.

Cheers

Anyone who is attending the CIIP session at New Delhi...

and regarding the PPs, i think NDVO has kept in its belly.. hope to see more visas after the release of 'Delhi Belly'.. :P

but this is one of the options that Damascus Embassy has guided to applicants.

Hi everyone...my ECAS status has changed to DECISION MADE and it reads as follows:

We received your application for permanent residence on November 18, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 24, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on April 19, 2011.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

It's only 21 days (24/05/2011) since I sent my passport to NDVO with PCC. Medical was done on 12th May though.
I am a bit nervous abt what the decision wud be.

I hope the final decision will be a positive one and praying for that.
I wish & pray everyone get their visas soon.

Many regards,
Anil

Here's what they write on an Indian Passport.....

"This passport should not be sent out of any country by post. This should be in the custody either of the holder or of a person authorised by the holder. It must not be altered or mutilated in any way."

So, if anyone hand carries a passport out of a country, along with an authorised letter, then will it be considered illlegal?
