Hi guys,

Just want to have you opinions on below :-

- What are advantages of hiring Consultants / representatives
- Today I met with a consultant he told me that you will get full points of experience as far as you have atleast one year experience in short-listed categories and more than 4 years in any other occupation, I had argument with him on this, and his opinion was that law says it the person has to have on year experience in shortlisted categories, it doesn't say that you have to have four year experience in the same category to score full 21 points.

have you opinion guys as I want to clear this confusion, which I am sure is somewhere deep in many minds here.

That's true. You need a total of 4 yrs of Exp no matter in which field, however at least 1 year out of those should be from the matching published NOC.
I dont think you need any consultant. This forum is the best consultant for you. YES its BEST and FREE :)

@humsafar

Hiring a consultant is wasting your time and money. I highly recommend you to opt out this option of hiring a consultant. They are literally dumbass and freaking delusional parasites.

Hire Google!

It will work better than hiring a consultant.

Remember one thing. If you qualify to immigrate to Canada just because your consultant is saying so, you actually don't qualify. Attorneys, consultants, representative, or whatever fancy names they use, they just cut around the bushes.

Don't waste your time and money.

If you really have a lot of money to waste, donate to some poor people, their prayers will work better than consultant professional letters.

No,I am not hiring any consultant, simply dont have the money or courage to pay more than what acutally costs to from say one till landing day in the whole process :D. Just wanted to hear opinions from every one, what they think are the advantages or disadvantages,

So far I am planning to file my application on my own and this forum is very helpful.

moreover i want opinions about his arguements of Job experience as i mentioned in my above post.

my point of view....No advantages...u can do it urself.
what he said regarding the experience point is 100% right....u need 1 year in one of the 29 NOC & any other experience in any other NOC will be awarded by points....regards.

Guys,

I just called +16139444000 & here is what happened:

I waited about 20 minutes till an agent answered me.
I asked about my Client ID No & my application status, she asked me about (First name, Last Name, Date of Birth & What is my program i.e FSW), she checked my status on their system then she replied me that i am not added in their system yet (i.e no Client ID No and no status). I asked her how come since i passed the completeness check & i got encashed??!! , she replied that the applicant is only added in their system & got an ID No whenever the eligibility test is done. They are now doing the eligibility test to the application received on 30-Aug.
For the above we can conclude that they were checking 26-Aug applications yesterday & today they reached the 30-Aug applications (28 & 29-Aug were their weekend) so they checked 27-Aug & 30-Aug today.
Unfortunately i couldn't ask her if we catched up the cap by the encashing or we must pass the eligibility test so as to be added to their system & catch the cap, i'll call again at the end of the next week to check my status & ask that question.

Wow! Chata10, you have IELTS 8.5 band score!!!!! Is it your native language or how you got such high score? It is very nice!

Thanks, Curt-Rozen. Actually, my native language is Spanish, but I studied in a bilingual environment since kindergarten. I also practice English in my current job, so that helped, I guess...

It was equally stressful for me to take the tests, though... one cannot take anything for granted.... so I practiced online to get acquainted with the tests!!!

Hope to keep hearing from you!

Believe me...regarding my terrible experience:HIRING CONSULTANTS IS A GREAT LOSS OF TIME AND MONEY, you will discover that your knowledge is much better and updated. And no one cares for your application as you do. For them...you are just a treasure to collect as much money as they can.
Please save your money and your time.
