Hello Amr;
This letter you are talking about is just an old letter of instructions for those who were applying before 26/6/2010.
They have sent two payment instructions: 1st one for new applicants and the 2nd one is for the applicants who were requested to pay the VISA fees.
That also explains the difference between the 2860 and 2550 EGP.
Cairo VO sends this letter just to clarify the VISA fees issue and we should forget about the 1st part where they mention IMM8 and the three copies issue ... All this is old stuff.

I just noticed that,
Magdy

thx Magdy for clarifying this :) I am just freaked out from the inaccuracy of the embassy letters while they are asking us not to do any mistake. Totally unfair and playing on both sides of the scale ;)

Label has barcode with file number ...to easy & speed up the process at VO.

I agree,
Thanks Wayne for the quick reply. So the mystery around the "E0" and "B0" numbers continues ???
Olga

Guessing... seems like E00 (Electronic File) vs B00 (Batch File - maintaining hard files) ;)

Dears,

For the first time today, i can see my address on e-cas. But when they write my p.o.box number they just wrote the number only; It doesn't say " P.O.Box No. 31359 ". It reads only "31359" with the name of city and country. Should I notify them for this ? Please I strongly need your feedback.

Kind regards

Hi all,

Same as Asoo62, today I received the below email from Damscus:

Please note that your application has reached the medical examination stage. To prevent delays caused by normal mailing service, you have the opportunity to choose between:

a) Either to come in person to Damascus, Syria or to authorise someone on your behalf to pick up your medical instructions and forms or;
b) To arrange with your commercial courier company to pick them up on your behalf, the courier company will need the following information: your file number, our below mentioned phone number and that the envelope is at the visa section.
If you feel that this is difficult to do, please advise our office and provide us with a reliable mailing address, so we can send your medicals. If you do not respond to this email within ten days, your medical forms and instructions will be sent to you via regular post to the address we have on file.

Dear Asoo I am sending a PM to you. Please check your inbox.

Regards

Congratulations Keyvan for your good news.
Wish you all the best.

** BREAKING NEWS from London **

Headline: WE JUST GOT OUR MEDICAL REQUESTS!! :)

Hi all - am very pleased to announce that we got our medical requests today! I popped home at lunch time to check the post, and sure enough the little brown envelope was waiting for us!

In addition for medicals for both of us they are asking for:
- Right of permanent resident fee
- Updated Schedule 1 forms for both of us
- Updated police certificates for both of us

Regarding the PCCs, I assume since ours run out on 17th July 2011 they feel it's cutting it a bit close to the wire, hence why they want fresh ones.

Really puzzled as to why they are asking for new Schedule 1s. The only change is that my company has been taken over and has a new name, but my job and duties haven't changed and we informed them of it.

On the correspondence they sent they gave no indication why they wanted new forms.

Ah well, no biggy :) Just very glad to get the medical requests! We're booked in for 1.30pm next Tuesday for medicals. Just thought I'd let you know asap to give hope to the scores of London applicants waiting - they ARE working!!

Wayne.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!
HOPE TIME BROKEN DOWN WITH FULL RAIN.
WISH FOR MORE MEDICAL REQUESTS FROM VOs.
CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A VERY SPECIAL STORY ....... WE LIKE CAPPUCCINO

The story started like this -

Cappuccino said:
Well .......
If you think it's frustrating try being from London or Buffalo office and watching others on the same process as you whose application was received 2/3 months after yours already with MR/RPRF and your visa office is still silent with not a single 2nd AOR! ;)

Swings and roundabouts really m8 ;) ...Wayne.

Many ups and downs .....

Cappuccino said:
Yes some visa offices are clearly very responsive.
In other news, the silence from London/Buffalo/Damascus is still deafening! :)
Wayne.

Then it changed a bit..... ;)

Cappuccino said:
If you think that's painful, try painfully waiting for ONE person from your visa office to get a 2nd AOR, let alone medical requests! ;)

Wayne.
Cappuccino said:
OK :) Well it's encouraging that 1 or 2 London applicants ECAS status now reads "We started processing your application..." but it's still a bit uncertain until that translates into a 2nd AOR or correspondence from London.
I don't mind waiting my turn in the London queue but I just want SOMEONE to get something soon! ;)
Wayne.

In between there was a spurt of joy ..... ;D

Cappuccino said:
NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!

This morning our ECAS status reads "In Process" and we have the following in the detail:
We received your application for permanent residence on August 30, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on December 15, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 15, 2011.

Another ray of hope for London applicants? :)
Of course, we have yet to see any of these changes translate into anything with substance such as 2nd AOR or med requests but it is encouraging.

And we get to post this news on page 1337. Leet :)
Wayne.

Then somebody shouted medicals........ :o .....so thought that ONE person / SOMEBODY issue is over ...... :D

Cappuccino said:
Congratulations! :)

Although the dates look a little crazy! October applicants with Med Requests and some July applicants haven't heard anything yet!

Ah well. Ours went "In Process" on 15th March so maybe we'll hear something soon.

Wayne.

BUT ....... Then again old story continued ...... 8) 8) ....

Cappuccino said:
Congrats! :)

Ours has been In Process since 15 March 2011, still no MR or AOR yet. Still trying to fathom how London are doing it - with two October applicants got MR and July, August and September have heard nothing. I guess until we get more MR we don't really have sufficient data to spot a pattern...

Wayne.
Cappuccino said:
Both got medical requests by letter post. They put "waived" simply because there was no 2nd AOR.

I still just find it strange that October applicants have received medical requests where July, August and September applicants have heard zip!

Wayne.

Continued in a different angle now ....... :P :P

Cappuccino said:
Lol cool. I was actually waiting for a London applicant to say they'd got medical requests.. then I could be SURE it was an April fool! ;)

Wayne.

Hmmmmm...................... :-X :-X

Cappuccino said:
Sigh - still not a single peep from London for 2 weeks now?

Come on, SOMEONE must have heard something! :)

Wayne.
Cappuccino said:
Nobody from London heard anything this week then? :(

Sigh, ah well - a new week next week.....
Wayne.

Frustration creeping up ..... >:( ... always wanted to say - "Dear just wait ...... you will get it". But it is easy to say and difficult to understand (preaching theory!!!) ...... moreover didn't want to take a risk with this guy ...... :o ....... he is always back with a big punch........ ;D

Cappuccino said:
If you think it was a long and anxious wait, try being a July/August London applicant..... ;)

Wayne.
Cappuccino said:
Sigh, can someone from London please post here with SOME news? 2.5 weeks since anyone last heard a peep out of them, not sure how much more of this I can take!! :)

Wayne.

Continued ......

Cappuccino said:
Still not a peep from London this week from anyone? :(

Wayne.
Cappuccino said:
Still no news from London or Buffalo this week?

Are London and Buffalo destined for another silent week? :(
Come on, SOMEONE must have heard something! :)

Wayne.

AND THEN FINALLY THE AIR WAS CLEAR ...... AND I KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO SAY - CONGRATULATIONS .......
