Application withdrawal??? After DM

Hello I recieved DM on 21st December and haven't heard anything till now - I've just received this?? Any idea - I'm so worried right now!!

A note has been added to your file to advise the responsible office of your request to withdraw your application. Once your application is opened, it should be cancelled and it will be at the responsible office's discretion to grant a refund of the processing fees within 16 weeks.

For information purposes, if the principal applicant withdraws their application, the office will also withdraw the application for the family members included in their application.

Your decision is final and a new application will require the applicable fees.

As a temporary resident, it is your responsibility to renew your status on or before its expiry date.

CIC thinks a request has been submitted to withdraw your application. The only people who can do this are the applicant or the sponsor. Assuming you're the applicant, any chance the sponsor has canceled the application without telling you? (Sometimes people find it easier to do something like this rather than having a conversation about relationship issues directly.)

We live together and are happy. she HASNT made any such request. I've been sending a bunch of emails and request to get an update so do you think maybe I selected some option to withdraw? As usual can't get hold of CIC in anyway. I've been waiting for my COPR since December

Well it's just the regular case-specific (email) form you send out to cancel the application, but I assume they at least need the words "cancel" on the email and don't just cancel willy-nilly. I read some of your past posts, maybe your application has been mixed up with someone else's? I'm sorry this has happened to you, what a nightmare. I'm sure it will get sorted out. Just keep on them. You can try phoning the call center using the "outside Canada" phone number as well. Maybe they can at least see what the status of your application is...

If you are calling from outside Canada, you should dial 613.944.4000 and enter 1-1-2 to be redirected to the CIC Call Centre. Prepare to wait on hold for some time. Try calling early in the morning or use a speakerphone so you can do other things while you wait.

Maybe I selected withdraw application when I sent the case specific enquiry and this was just a default email. Really hoping so . . I haven't had COPR and a DM was made in December so we're pretty worried

Yes I see it on the dropdown list, that is a possibility, you could have just hit the arrow key and changed the option by accident. I know LVO has taken a long while to send COPR's before, have you looked at people's times on the LVO thread?
