My application was sent out yesterday.

so how long government can create the application file from their side? and when can I know the application number?

I believe AOR is taking around a month these days. So probably about a month before you know the application number.

Really depends on whether it was an Inland application or not.

Inland AOR takes much longer, or so it seems. Some never receive an AOR.

AOR= Acknowledgement of Receipt

This means that the application has been received and that a cursory `glance' through the package has determined that it is complete...or at least complete enough to begin processing...which means it gets put into the massive pile.

This is when the file number is assigned.

Mine took 3 days after arrival to get notified and 4 days for them to determine I had a non existent representative to quit processing my application.
