Hey guys, a quick question from a friend of mine who applied under CEC as well. He just got COPR yesterday and asked me that under application type in the COPR, it is CE1 instead of CEC, he is not sure if this is correct, as I have not received mine yet, don't know the answer.

Any body can confirm if this is correct, thanks.

Yes. This seems to be their GCMS code for Canadian Experience Class apps (see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2008/ob077.asp). It certainly isn't something that should cause your friend any concern.

Hi,

yes CE1 refers to CEC...when cec used to be two different streams one for foreign workers and another for students back then it used to be CE1 and CE2 now its only one stream and its all CE1.
tell your friend to relax, enjoy and go do his/her landing.
good luck.

Thanks LPS, just did Google and noted the same. Weird that there is no longer any differences between students and TFW. Guess mine will be CE1 as well.

Will let him know. Thanks again.

There's no difference, because there's no student stream in the CEC anymore ( since Jan 2013 ).

Great, thanks guys for the reply.

Cannot wait to get mine... :P
