Application to extend the stay in Canada

Hi Guys,

I am also trying to extend my mother's stay. She is in Canada right now. When I follow the links mentioned below, it take me to an eligibility page. Under the section which asks what do you want do it Canada, the option that I picked was visit. At the end of the eligibility section, I was recommeded a form that stays applying for visa from outside Canada.

My question is, is this right? My mother is in Canada already and she is apply for extension while in Canada. For folks who have gone through this process, does it ever ask at any step that are you extending the stay or applying for fresh application?

It seems that you are not answering correctly the wizard. The extension option cannot be done outside Canada and it seems the wizard thinks that you need a TRV to travel.

Double check your answers.

Sometimes it has to do with the length of stay, or with the expiry date of your current status.
