Hi there,

I have a question about my application status on ecas. Since sending my application it has been on 'Application Received' since January 28th 2013. The application status has not changed even though since then I have had:

A request for more information by CIC
Request to submit undertaking to MICC
CSQ approval

Should my status not have changed to 'In Process' by now?

I am a little concerned there has been no change since January - is it being processed or not?!

Thanks!

Same with me even I was asking additional documents from the embassy for countinue my process. Since Jan until now its just show application received. It's look like E-cas is not reliable or they don't update it always or you will get answer from the embassy I really don't know why

They updated mine. I think it depends on each and every officer how they like to update. I heard some don't even update information on ecas until a decision is made. I do have a question however.. How'd they contact you guys to request more stuff - on ecas or email?

Don't rely on ECAS as any indication of your status. Some people go "In Process" almost right away and stay there for months, some people stay at "Application Received" for months and only go "In Process" for a few days before "Decision Made". And others, such as my partner, go straight from "Application Received" to "Decision Made".

Some VOs update ECAS and some don't.

How do CIC contact us if they're wanting more information and medical wise? Email or ecas or something else?

For me CIC never contact me since my application already sent to my VO so I got an email from them

Usually email, sometimes normal mail.
