I just realised i was not the only guy getting irritated to call my representative(attorney/immigration firm/law firm) to know application status in this dynamically changing scenario of PR processing. Seems consultants are still living in the times of an application taking 6-8 months for processing. So, obviously we will come across like impatient/anxious applicants. hence this thread/post:
In such situations, the method which I found most useful is to call CIC call number and wait for the option that gives your application status over IVR:
+1 613 944 4000 .. That's the number.
However, till you reach IP2 it won't say BG status, which is fine. Anyhow, it will indicate all other rows of application status such as medicals, additional document requirement etc..
