Do not! I repeat do not keep any money, expensive electronics like camera, mobile etc. in your check in luggage.....there are many instances where these things were stolen while handling by personnels at the Pakistan and other airports!

Thanks you now its sure I am "not" gonna put a single penny in check in luggage.

Guys yesterday i reached Canada and i got my study permit of 2 year at Montreal Airport.

I have a question:

Suppose if someone is going to Vancouver, But flight has connection at Montreal. So he would be go through from immigration at Montreal or at Vancouver. (They will issue him student permit at Montreal or at Vancouver).

Reason for asking is that, if the stay/connection at Montreal is just for 1 hr or less then it will be difficult to go through from all this process in this time, and your connecting flight can miss.

Secondly, how long is immigration process at airport?

Study permit will be issued at Montreal. people say four hours are enough. there is hugh rush and they may take 2-2.5 hours normally.
if your stay is 1 hour then there is very strong chance that you miss your flight to Vancouver.
Recently a student named massacre at forum had missed his flight due to long queue at immigration section. he had to go to Edmonton via ottawa, He said there was hugh rush people at immigration section and they take time at Ottawa airport.
but he got the next flight free of cost by showing previous details.
I am also landing Vancouver international airport whereas my final destination is Regina. I have 3.5 hours stay at Vancouver.

Full fight with DMP, I asked him Sir it seems that i have applied for Job in NASA. Yar they have sent all the test again. I asked DMP i only will do the Xray again...He is continuously laughing and told me that there is a bunch of guys facing same problem.......They have asked following tests again ..............

Sputum Smear already given........
Chest Xray six months old....Already given
Chest xray fresh .........
Sputum Culture......

I have only given fresh Xray and ask the laboratory to search for the previous one....
Lets see what happens.............

Can anybody clear my confusion??
As my LOA will expire on 11h of September 2012, so I requested my college to extend some days, but they just said that I can join classes by 14th september atleast.. means 3 days extende orally by admission officer..
1: Let supose I get my Visa on 12th and i reach in canada on 13th, then is there any problem?
What should I do then to enter?
Do I just need to prove that I will not withdraw my course coz still college has given me 3 more days?
and they will contact college to the admission officer?
As I have sent a Note to the CHC also requesting them to give me Visa before 11th..

2: If I defer my LOA that is in September 2013, coz next intake of my course is in Septmber 2013, then when would I get my Visa for next Intake? Will they again take time to process or just in months? or Next year?

simple is that whenever you get visa go to canada.
if your visa by 10th sep then try to reach there within a week. they will accept you if you reach after one week of visa issuing date.
but if they give you visa late, You can go to canada ask them to accommodate in jan semester or you can change to such course which is offered in jan intake or you can change your college.
remember you have to manage your finances accordingly.

I am also interested to go Canada for study..But bit confused to chose university:
i have completed Electrical eng from UET. want to pursue for Masters in electrical eng, but don't know as much as u guys know..which state (i guess Alberta) or univ will be better.
