You won't know if they received it unless you sent it via trackable mail/courier. I've notice a new process where they are now sending emails to acknowledge receipt but it takes about 4 weeks after receipt to get that.

We didn't hear until we had approval, almost 70 days later.

Actually i sent it through Canada Post Xpress with trackable number and a signature required.. However, i haven't received nay confirmation from Canada post, however i should have received it till now. I m confused whether it is the right process of sending in to CIC P.O.BOX 3000 or did i do something wrong?? Really need to sort this out.. your comments would be highly appreciated.

Thanks once again!!

Hmm... I'm not sure if there will be anyone signing any letter that is delivered to a PO box. You may check with Canada Post to see if they still track the delivery even though no one signs.

Xpress post is the only trackable option to sent to a PO box in Canada. And they can get a signature because it's at a postal station. This mail would be carded so the box owner knows there is something to pick up that requires proof of delivery and sometimes a signature if requested.

Check online with the tracking number.

"Out

I checked with the tracking number but all it says that "out for delivery" it doesn't say it has been delivered or anything like that however it should been delivered by now. My question is, are there people at the CIC-M P.O Box station to sign? or i shouldn't have selected the option for signature? and just send it with tracking option without signature requirements? Just in a dilemma rite now..

I appreciate your help!

I sent my app on Friday, October 14, 2011... I received confirmation via e-mail from CIC on Dec 12, 2011 that they received my application on October 19, 2011 and were now beginning the processing. "Out for Delivery" probably means that it has reached destination but has not yet been signed... so may be it has passed through Mississauga Post Office but has not yet reached to the exact PO box... give two more days and check the tracking number again... Sometimes when i have been receiving an item with a tracking number, I have electronically signed for it and it doesnt update on the computer for a couple hours....

Hmm thanks buddy.. your answer calms me down a bit :) Now, there shouldn't be any problem though right? for example, package getting lost or CIC-M not receiving it because i requested a signature at a P.O.BOX address?

Thanks once again!!

I see this as a very very small possibility... Remember, every one of us has been sending to the same PO Box....
