Hey guys,

I apologize if this sort of thread has been posted previously but I need some sort of guidance.

My husband and i recently submitted a spousal support application. We submitted the right of perm residency and an extension/change in working permit application along with the spousal application
My husband is currently living and working in canada under a work permit. We made sure to 100% use the application process for spouses IN canada at time of application .
My husband is from Britain so our application was pretty straight forward with no translations or special documents needed.

Our application was returned to us today with 3 letters.
Letter 1 stated that the application was returned as it did not meet the requirements due to missing documents . It referenced the checklist to use. ( the very same check list that was included in the application and returned to me)

Letter 2 had blue highlighter on the point of "marriage certificate was not included"
In my application a certified copy of our marriage certificate ( not license . The actual certificate signed by our JP) was included . This certificate is IN THE PACKAGE THEY RETURNED. As it was a certified copy it's even date stamped days before the application was submitted .

Letter 3 had blue highlighter on the point of "insuffienct funds submitted "
IN THE PACKAGE THEY RETURNED WAS THE OFFICALL RECEIPT .
We submitted fees for the spousal app, right of perm residency, extension of work permit fees AND biometrics fees.
When we paid the fees online there was full process of answering questions and it generated the amount to pay based on the applications being submitted. It's not as if I picked a random number or calculated the amount my self.

We also noted on our document checklist that we submitted there was also blue highlighter on the "change in conditions/ extension"
There was no letter to indicate that they deemed that document missing , but it seems odd that they highlighted that part of the checklist not the parts they claim to be missing .

At this point I don't know how to proceed. The documents they claim are missing are CLEARLY there. In the exact order as they requested.
As you all know the process of submitting these apps are stressful, expensive and time sensitive.
Do I waste time trying to call and ask for clarification?
Do I resend it and hope some one with a set of working eyes reviews it ?

It would be different if my application was returned for improper completion or a mistake but this was returned with 2 points. Both points state a document is missing. Both documents are 100% there.
Both documents are official copies .

Please help with any advice you may have.

Thank you all!

How much did you include for the work permit fee? There are two parts to this fee and people sometimes only pay one part which results in the application being returned. You should have paid $255 total in fees just for the OWP.

Did you include an original marriage certificate or just the certified copy? I thought the original had to be included but I may be mistaken about that.

It was just a certified copy . I am skeptical a out sending in an original as it doesnt seem we get it back . It also does not specifically ask for an original anywhere. It just states "copies" . I thought getting a certified copy was going a step above.

As for the fee , I'm 100% certain that I did include both parts , but I will double check again today . Thanks for the suggestion
