Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi,

I filed my application in November 2009 and received an email on 2nd Feb 2010, saying my application is not eligible for processing due to lack of information.

I have IT Project Management experience (many years) and have applied under appropriate NOC code. The mistake I made is, I did not expand on my skills and experience on "Economic Classes" application form.

Would a member please rely to my following questions,

(1) Once application is rejected, can you subsequently supply additional information for then to re-evaluate your application?

(2) Would I be better off making a fresh application and how long should I wait before sending a fresh application?

(3) Would I be better of using a Immigration Lawyer?

Thanks

Fees will be returned. yes you can re-apply anytime.
OMM

oh i didnt read that correctly i thought the applciation was processed and then rejected.....yup you will get the refund. :P

I made the same mistake, but then later sent update to my application and included copy of reference letters to CIO to detail the experience.

How long did you wait before sending update for your original application?

I guess you communicate via your allocated File No?

What documents did you send as an update?

Thanks

it happened to me too.

my application was returned saying lack of information on my job responsibilities and duties. this was in november
when i applied again in december i took a letter from my employer and i explained my duties in a separate sheet of paper. i dont think there is any specific period of time u have to wait to reapply. send them the app asap.

my app dd was encashed on jan'29. i hope i will receive my AOR soon.

Hi Balu

Did you make a fresh application or did you supply an update to an original application?

Thanks

@CanadaForMe,

i made a fresh application where i made changes like in the job duties i mentioned attached separate sheet of paper.. like that

remaining all forms are same as before.
i wrote a cover letter to the app (as most applicants do) and in that i have mentioned that my app was returned due to this and this.

hope i answered ur question.

Hi Balu,

I understand what you did but would it not be quicker to send an update to the original file?

Are you not allowed to send update to the original application using the file number given?

Thanks

i was not given any file number, my whole app package was returned including my money order.

in your case, did you get the file number. if so probably it should be little quicker i guess!

Hi Balu,

Yes, I got a file number and so I guess I can use that.

Thanks

CanadaForMe, if an application is rejected, they won't reopen the file. I know because I tried to send updated letters/pay slips, etc. to prove my experience in 0213 after my application was rejected. They returned back the whole thing saying once an application is refused under fast track, there is nothing you can do to reopen it. So, don't waste your time preparing an update. You can work on your application thoroughly this time, making sure you convince them of your job duties and experience and lodge a new application ASAP. Good luck!

Hi charmeuse

Thanks for your response.

When you were rejected initailly, did they allocate you a file number? Also, second time did you mention your earlier application?

Regards

Yes, I was given an AOR from Sidney and another one from CHC ND. I was rejected at the second stage after full docs were sent. I did not file a second time, just tried to add further evidence for proving my experience. For Quebec, as I said I had applied before the rejection. In the updated info sent for federal processing after the CSQ from Quebec, I did reveal the previous rejected application. It would be best to be honest with such things, they'll know anyway.
